I have had Erde / Daxara trailers in the past and there is just no comparison. You really do get what you pay for.
I bought this at the height of our family camping holidays in 2009, and we've used it for three trips to Cornwall, and one to East coast in the time.
It is deceptively capacious inside, and we never actually filled it fully, even with a huge (6mx4.5m tent), kit for five adults and two adults push bikes.
It tows really well, and is exceptionally stable - even when fully loaded.
This Brenderup trailer is made from a heavily galvanised steel chassis and other metal parts, and a storage compartment constructed from ultra-durable composites / marine grade ply and alloys, plus some stainless steel for good measure!
There are a few variants of this trailer, so study the pictures and you will see that it has;-
- twin back doors (with a recently renewed lock & two keys), featuring extra secure shoot-bolts and rubber weatherproofing all around,
- drop-down rear jack leg steadies which clamp into position at any height,
- fully opening lid with heavy duty hydraulic ram lifters,
- side reinforcer backets,
- 13" full size car tyres for better towing.
The tyres are in excellent condition with around 65% life remaining at least, and no apparent deterioration.
There is a full size spare wheel with a new tyre that's never been used. I keep this loose in the trailer but could easily be attached (there is a Brenderup bracket you could buy on ebay).
I have fitted six lashing-down points inside, to afford security and stability for heavier items being carried.
The jockey wheel looks original and has a heavy duty tyre which looks a little aged but is fully functional and should last a couple more years yet. The jockey height winder knob has the top missing but this isn't an issue.
The electrical system works perfectly, although it looks like the wiring sheathing at the plug has been reinforced with electrical tape at some time but is just an observation.
The electrical plug is standard UK type (not the new Euro type).
One of the front side marker light lenses has a chip missing out of it, but these are replaceable, and due to the double-layer construction does not let water in.
The rear lights are perfect, and the secure spring clamp rear number plate holder makes swapping plates a doddle, with no tools required.
I have looked after the trailer, and have stored it dry through the winter inside a garage away from weather and sunlight.
It's now outside and you can store your camping gear all year round without fear of leaks or condensation.
It's not a new trailer, and has a few marks and some minor evidence of age-related wear & tear - BUT this is a trailer that was built to look good and last for years, as you can see from the photos.
I'm probably going to regret selling this trailer, as they are very sought after, however my kids are all grown up and don't come camping with us now - so I've bought a van which can handle all our needs.
Please arrange viewing prior to bidding - I am happy to show you the trailer.
You are bidding to buy.
I have described the trailer honestly and expect buyers to appreciate they are buying a used item with signs of use and wear & tear. This is not a new item.
I will provide a receipt of sale. (Please note that the chassis number is actually fully clear in reality - just blurred-out on the picture for security)
The car is located in easy reach of most major roadways in the midlands and is just 10 mins drive from J17 or J18 of the M1 in Northamptonshire.
You are bidding to buy the trailer.
I will require at least £100 paypal deposit within 7 hours of close of the auction which is non refundable unless it's a fault on my part.
You will need to pay the remainder of the auction sum in cash on collection or possibly (at my express agreement) by bank transfer in good time for me to check it has cleared.
You will need to arrange collection at a mutually convenient time to fit in with my diary.
You must pay for the trailer and collect it within 3 days from the end date of the auction.
I will work with you to make this as easy as possible if you're polite and ask nicely...
...however if you make demands and act unreasonably I reserve the right to dissolve the contract without notice.
Now that's all out of the way it just remains for me to thank you for reading, and wish you good luck if you bid.
Any queries, please message through ebay, or SMS me.......0 7 4 6 0 2 7 5 5 6 7

I have the trailer advertised elsewhere at £995 and reserve the right to cancel this auction without notice.
