This clock has come direct to me from a huge private collection of fine antique clocks and have always been cared for and will prove a excellent future investment that will only grow in value

This is an outstanding antique c1827 french bronze and sevres porcelain pillar mantle clock by pons with rare 1/4 striking ting tang striking on 2 bells movement

superb high quality gilt bronze ormolu pillar supporting the drum movement with a superb hand painted sevres porcelain cherub plaque to centre of it which has been superbly painted with fine attention to detail

amazing quality very heavy for size with good attention to detail to gilt bronze with its original gold ormolu finish to the solid bronze

all this stands elegantly on its ebonised and velvet base and under its original glass dome which is undamaged

the clock benefits from its original porcelain dial with blue roman numerals and original french hands with a skeletised centre where all the mechanical wheels can be seen working, the dial is in excellent undamaged condition

the clock benefits from its original 8 day 2 bell ting tang 1/4 striking french brass movement which strikes ting tangs every quarter of an hour which is a rare feature for a french movement

the movement is signed by pons and dated 1827, pons was a very prolific early 19th century clock master and is well sort after for rare clocks, the movement also has retailers impressed of pert bally a paris

the movement comes in full working order keeping good time and striking the 2 bells exactly when they should every quarter of an hour, the movement has recently been cleaned and serviced and is in fine condition

this is a very rare high quality french mantel clock i have only ever seen one other simular to this one and not as good, dont miss this rare oppertunity to acquire a fine antique top quality mantel clock

clock measures 13.75 inches high x 9.75 inches wide x 5.5 inches deep

the clock and dome is in excellent condition as you can see from the photographs

All our antique clocks are tested in the workshop for a period of 8 days and working condition is described above

Some clocks will work fine without problem, some will have faults but these will be clearly stated in the description above

All antique clocks no matter where you buy them from will need setting up properly, fine adjustment and setting into beat when moved and transported

there is plenty of information available on the internet to help you with this but if you have any problems at all then you can contact me, please note a confident clock person / specialist may be required 


Packing & shipping


We pack our clocks professionally using market leading materials instapak foam and custom made wooden crates 

We have invested a lot of money into the machinary and system needed for these materials to ensure our goods arrive to thier destination without damage

 Shipping prices include these materials and a wooden custom made crate and full door to door insurance for your item for piece of mind 


We will use professional couriers to transport the parcels from us to you

These will provide a full online tracking number so you can keep an eye on the parcel as soon as it leaves me right to your door

Countries outside the e.u may have custom delays and customs charges import duties ect all of which i cannot control (please contact your local customs office to find out if fees aply to you)

However, i will send all relevant customs forms and certificates with the parcels to minimise any delays as much as possible
