We hope that you will love everything you buy from us, however if this is not the case, we promise to refund any item you are unhappy with when you return it to us in a saleable condition within 14 days of the date shown on your dispatch e-mail.
Please note that in order to cancel your contract, you must return all the products that were covered by the order. You must take reasonable care of the products that you wish to cancel and agree not to use them.
When returning unwanted items to us, please place your returned goods in their original packaging. Your item should be returned in the original condition it was in when received. This includes items that are supplied in sealed packaging. Please note, we do not cover postage costs for the return of unwanted items. It is at the customers discretion how a return item is sent though we recommend using a tracked service.
For faulty items, please attach any relevant images of the damaged item and any damage to it's outer packaging including the delivery box. When returning a faulty items to us, please place your returned goods in their original packaging (where possible). If the packaging is damaged, please ensure appropriate packaging is used to prevent any further damage.
If your item is faulty the Lair of the Octopus will cover customer return postage costs within the UK. As our items vary in size and weight significantly, you will be advised by e-mail after you have contacted us on the best way to return your item. Some small items may be posted back by Royal Mail, for larger items though, we may book a courier to collect the item.
Please note, we do not consider items with damaged packaging wherein the actual contents are fine, as faulty. In addition, items including statues, busts, and figures, that have individual paintwork applied to them by manufacturers are not accepted for return as faulty if the paintwork is not to the customers preference.
Customers outside the UK should note that we do not cover return postage costs under any circumstance.
Faulty products returned by you will be refunded in full, including a refund for the delivery charges for sending the item. However if there is more than the returned faulty item in the same order, the delivery charge will not be refunded.
In the event that we do not receive your returned goods, we will ask you to provide the certificate of posting from the Post Office as proof of postage. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if you are unable to provide the certificate of posting.
We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.
All items are refunded as soon as possible when we receive them back in to stock. We advise customers though that with PayPal the time they take to process the funds back to you may vary. Typically with PayPal, if the original payment was made from a PayPal balance you will receive your credit back the same day. If the payment was made from a credit card or bank account then PayPal may take up to ten days to return your funds.
