Payment

As per the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) upon completion of the auction/sale you are entering into a contractual agreement with TechnoBytes, payment must be received within 48hrs. PayPal is our preferred method of payment to ‘accounts@technobytes.co.uk’.  Personal cheques, Bankers Drafts & Postal Orders will be accepted to ‘TechnoBytes’, but you must inform us within 48hrs that the alternative payment methods (as above) are being used.  Goods will be dispatched/released only upon satisfactory receipt of payment/funds.  If no payment is received and no communication with the buyer is received then further action will commence including informing eBay of the situation and the contract will be void.

Valued Added Tax (VAT)

Currently TechnoBytes is not VAT registered and as a consequence a VAT receipt cannot be issued.

Postage

TechnoBytes endeavors to use recycled packaging wherever possible as per our Environmental Policy. This will not only save you money, it will also help us to save the planet. Postage will be via a courier, i.e. Royal Mail, Royal Mail Parcels or any other deemed suitable courier, including our own vehicles. Once the items/goods have been dispatched then the courier’s own rules and regulations are to be followed.  Any failed delivery to the buyer’s chosen destination address then becomes the buyers responsibility to communicate with that courier. If any item(s) are returned to TechnoBytes after failed re-delivery attempts (see specific courier terms & conditions) then TechnoBytes will not be deemed at fault and will not cover the costs of re-sending the item(s) back to the buyer, this will be at the buyers expense and full payment will need to be received prior to re-sending item(s).  

Returns

You have 7 working days from receipt of goods to return an item(s) for refund (return postage at your expense) if you are not happy with it.  All returns are ‘Return To Base (RTB)’.  All returns must be authorised by an email or written letter stating why you are not happy with the item(s), and why you wish to return the item(s). If after the 7 days cooling off period you wish to return the item because you do not want it, this will not be accepted (that’s what the 7 days are for).  If the item(s) are found to be faulty on arrival, and if found faulty after inspection after RTB, return postal costs will be refunded (upon receipt of a copy of postal costs receipt – electronic image satisfactory) within 30 days (as per DSR Regulation 17). If the item is not faulty then a restocking fee of 20% value of the item(s) will be charged to you (the buyer).  Items returned because of a purchase error (by the buyer) then this will incur a re-stocking fee of 20% the value of the item(s).  The returned shipping costs will not be refunded (as per DSR Regulation 17), this is the responsibility of the buyer as is the safe return of the item(s) to TechnoBytes base of operations. Any items lost in transit back to TechnoBytes will be the responsibility of the buyer and will not be covered by TechnoBytes. A copy of your purchase receipt must be kept and a copy returned back with the item that is under warranty investigation.  Software cannot be returned once the manufacturers seal is broken as we cannot then resale afterwards this includes second user software as disks can be copied.  When returning items, TechnoBytes requires any original packaging to be returned with the item.

Warranty

All items sold as tested are bench tested before dispatch.  All serial numbers are recorded before dispatch; these will be checked if item is returned. All items are subject to satisfactory inspection of the ‘anti-tamper warranty sticker/seal’, any evidence that these aforementioned stickers/seals have been removed or broken will render the item out of warranty and will not be covered under TechnoBytes warranty rules. All ‘new’ items (as indicated in listing) will carry a standard 12 month warranty.  If the item becomes faulty within that period a replacement will be issued free of charge upon receipt of the ‘faulty item’, back to Technobytes, if proved to be faulty upon inspection. If the item is not faulty or can be repaired, not to the detriment of the item, then this shall be undertaken rather than direct replacement.   If the item is designated ‘Second User or Used’ it will carry a 30 day warranty and the above procedure will be followed with regard to repair or replacement, within the 30day period from receipt of item.  Any item that is designated ‘Sold As Seen’ implies no warranty.  
Please note- Any software is not covered by TechnoBytes warranty policy. This is due to the possibility of software being corrupted via viruses or misuse.  Please refer to specific item details for specific details.  
      
Availability

All items are subject to availability. All listings/adverts imply that the goods are available and ready for immediate dispatch (within 2 working days).  If items have to be replaced, there may be a delay in obtaining the replacement item.  All replacements are as good or in fact superior than the original item(s) sold to the buyer. If a replacement cannot be provided and a satisfactory conclusion cannot be obtained then a refund (subject to warranty conditions) will be made, all this will be communicated to the buyer via email or a telephone conversation(s).
