I have used this product for several years in my multi fuel burner and it keeps the stove hot all night . Buying it on line was an error by me on the weight because I could get the same thing from my local Texaco garage for two thirds of the price . Also only received one of the two bags I ordered but the supplier was quick to apologise and reimburse my account .

This coal would not even produce any heat at all, I lit it on fire and waited as usual, spent over an hour lighting it and still nothing. Ended up cooking the food on my gas cooker. Absolute waste of money!! I bought this product because the reviews were good, I don’t know what type of coal you people are buying but this is the worst coal I’ve ever bought, and I thought Tesco’s coal was bad! At least Tesco’s coal produces heat and you’re able to cook some food on it! I bought 20kg worth of coal for nothing!

Used for the first time last night = stunning blue flame in the log burner mixed in with the yellow from the wood. Keeps the heat and burns nice and hot (could definitely tell the difference compared with normal logs). All lumps are equal size, like small dumplings. No dust like with regular coal. Good stuff!

This is as good a product that you'll get in these days of banned house coal. It does burn hot but the coals can take a while to ignite and you have to use a lot of kindling and fire lighters! Thats the nature of the thing due to what they are made of I suspect. Once lit they are hot and burn for an average amount of time . As for value they're neither cheap nor dear hence the four stars but what is cheap these days and what does "good value" mean now in this crazy world. As for quality I have nothing to compare it to except good ol house coal which ignited quicker and burnt for longer but is now banned. So all in all you get what you have to take as is the case with so much these days. This stuff is as good as is amongst whats available.

I had been using the 10 kg size bags from a large DIY store all winter, and then on local Builders Merchants what is a slightly cheaper. But then I discovered these 20 kg bags which are much cheaper and delivered to your door. They come in individual cardboard boxes which make it easier and cleaner to store. And the coal lit self burns much longer than wood then we’ll even keep in overnight if you need to.
