Here's an opportunity for someone.  C40 and C50s are considered, by those in the know, to be the best ever carbon frames for most riders. They have the magical 'Italian' handling, ie: quick steering yet very stable, stiff yet comfortable and finally bombproof construction. They're not the lightest ever frames but the upshot of that is they'll survive crashes, airline baggage handlers and probably outlast their owner, unlike the current crop of super light carbon frames.

Some history:
After several innovative changes to his previous carbon framesets, Ernesto Colnago created the C50. Ernesto Colnago reshaped and modified the carbon fibre tubing taking his all carbon fibre lugged frame to a new level. Colnago refines the tubing so the carbon tubing is completely new and 200 grams lighter than its predecessor. Keep in mind, the refinements of the carbon fibere material are a result of extensive testing and development, and working closely with Ferrari as well as other top Italian engineers and scientists. Immediately you'll notice the new twill pattern and shorter carbon lugs on the Colnago C50. Colnago has been working with carbon fiber for 20 years.

While keeping the Master profile design of the top tube and down tube, the C50 features oversized tubing similar in design to the Dream tubing. The head lug accommodates a 1-1/8" threadless fork. The oversized carbon fiber tubing improves the overall handling which you'll notice immediately when cornering or going up or down the mountain. You'll also notice how lively it rides making your long distance journeys more enjoyable.

Another key feature of the C50 is the HP chainstays which feature smooth edges to absorb road vibration. The HP design improves the pedaling force while allowing for vertical flex to absorb road shock from poor pavement. Colnago has produced the perfect frame - stiffness where it's needed yet flexible where you want it. The rear anodized dropouts connect to the carbon stays with a classic internal pivot that penetrates the tubing, and the bottom bracket shell is constructed of titanium.

This frame and fork is 5 years old and in good condition. There are some marks on paint from cable rub etc, shown in the pics and one small mark by the down tube bottle cage boss, also shown.

Supplied as frame and fork only. I had this built up with Dura Ace and Mavic Cosmic Carbone and it was not only super fast but also a real head turner.
