These are SMALL speakers, however it is able to generate a surprising amount of Base for their size. It's also able to produce an amazing amount of Treble. And although there is a control for the Bass, there is none for the Treble. This does mean at high volumes there is way to much Treble. Hence some reviews of them being 'tinny', but it's actually just too much Treble. On my set, the balance shifts between low and full volume, only being balanced at full volume. However, given the price, the actual drivers seem fine, and due to the high levels of treble they can sound great with detailed imagery. As a cheap upgrade to a phones built in speakers or a laptops built in speakers they are perfect fine. They run from any 5v USB power supply, so a phone charger or laptop USB port works fine.

Having purchased a number of items with "Trust" as the appropriately labelled goods and recommended by many people, I found these to be well made and I HAVE NO CRITISCISM of the supplier, But I did expect more of the product. Whilst I appreciate they are USB powered this should not delineate from their quality and performance. They are a 2.1 system ,There is a Bass control on the main speaker which makes little or no difference, and despite the fact they are rated at 12 watts they are not able to really cope with that. The sound quality is not good and becomes very tinny and distorted if you increase the volume by little over halfway. Sad to say I will not be buying another set of "TRUST" speakers for my computer. My last set of 2.1 commodore speakers with far better, but for the eventual breakdown of the Audio cable, preventing their continued use, forcing a quick purchase of the "TRUST" speakers, But Never Again, Very Disappointed .Read full review

Really like this as it offers much more volume than my Dell speakers and a rich bass that was lacking. I know the speakers are tiny but the bass unit adds a fuller sound. Good if you have limited space.

Well I'm used to a twin amp, bi-wired 12-way 880w system in my living room, so this sounds like bin lids and pop-guns to me, but to be fair, it's six watts rms in total and cost eleven quid - and as laptop speakers by my bed they're absolutely fine. Apart from one thing: The cables are so short, they're partially useless. You can just get a small speaker either side of your monitor, but then where are you gonna put the 'sub' (I use the term loosely, but let's not deviate here)..? It sits directly between the speakers. I have no choice but to re-wire one speaker, which is not a five minute job. If you want access to the bass/volume controls then you'll need to place all three on a higher or lower shelf.

These are small speakers but quite powerful - set up is easy but one big drawback is definitely the length of the speaker wires - could easily be a foot longer. At the moment the speakers are behind my screen - usable but not ideal. Snips and soldering iron I think to put in a bridge...
