THE CAMERA:
Corfield Periflex 1 - 1956 periscope camera - Version 3
Nice quality British 35mm camera which takes L39 thread mount lenses.
Focusing is achieved by dropping down the periscope in to the optical field thereby acting like an SLR.
The shutter is firing consistently and is seemingly correct at all speeds although the 1/500 and 1/1000 settings seem to share the same indent?. I'm not sure if this is normal!
Optical viewfinder is clean and clear.
The periscope is fully operational but has a little dust on the ground glass.
I have restored the footing on the glass film plate to new condition.

Excellent condition all round. Fully working. Very very nice cosmetically as you can see from the photographs.

THE LENS:
Corfield Lumar-X  50mm f3.5 - 4 element - Coated - Leica 39mm thread mount fitting
Sharp with very pleasing Bokeh.
It is in very clean condition with NO fungus or cleaning marks. It does have a very little dust but hardly anything worth mentioning.
Loads of iris blades giving a lovely round aperture.
Aperture and focusing rings are both very smooth and nicely damped.

THE CASE:
Nice original leather case with strap. Usual light marks on the leather but still very nice.

I have also included a cable release with the required leica thread adapter.
This is a great collectors piece but really deserves to used. I have had some lovely shots from it on Tri-x - very sharp and contrasty!
