Goods supplied by The windowboardcompany, which are either defective in material, or not in accordance with the order, will be replaced or refunded at our discretion with no extra costs. The windowboardcompany operate a full and fair returns policy. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Regulations http://www.oft.gov.uk/advice_and_resources/small_businesses/distance-selling/ Products may be returned but will incur a 20% RE-STOCKING AND ADMINISTRATION CHARGE, if in original condition and in the original packaging. The only exception to this is when goods have been custom-made to order, for example cut to size polycarbonate sheets, in which case we are unable to except returns.
All shipping and collection costs for returning products will be at the customers’ expense. Customers are solely responsible for the safe return of goods undamaged.
If you sign for goods on delivery and you later discover they are damaged, it is impossible for us to claim for any damages against the courier, so we are unable to process any refunds. This is because when you sign for a delivery it means you are signing to say ‘Goods Delivered in Good Order’ which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to achieve ANY COMPENSATION for damaged goods from the courier.
Damage can happen in transport, so we ask you to PLEASE CHECK THE PRODUCT ON RECEIPT and not just the packaging. If you suspect the product to be damaged YOU MUST EITHER: NOT ACCEPT THE GOODS, AND THEY WILL BE RETURNED TO US. A REPLACEMENT OR REFUND WILL BE PROCESSED AFTER RETURN & INSPECTION. SIGN YOUR NAME AND CLEARLY WRITE THE WORDS - GOODS RECEIVED DAMAGED AND write A SHORT DISCRIPTION OF THE DAMAGE onto the delivery drivers’ paperwork THIS WAY IT IS POSSIBLE FOR US TO CLAIM FOR ANY DAMAGES FROM THE COURIER.
Any shortages or damaged items MUST be notified to The Window Board Company within 24 HOURS. We will then carry out an inspection of all of the returned items to check for signs of use (scratches etc) that would prevent us from reselling the materials as new. If the goods are in a re-saleable condition, a 20% restocking and administration charge will be applied and a refund will be issued. If payment has been received in advance we guarantee to refund any outstanding monies within 7 days of receipt of the returned goods. If the goods supplied are faulty, it is covered by manufacturers’ guarantees.
IF THE COURIERS DRIVER WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU TO CHECK YOUR GOODS FOR SIGNS OF DAMAGE, WRITE ‘GOODS RECEIVED DAMAGED’ ONTO THE PAPERWORK, SO THE GOODS ARE INSURED.
In the unlikely event of any goods developing a fault within the guarantee period, they may be returned for an immediate replacement or a full refund, whether they have been used or not. “Faults” are defined as manufacturing defects, not those that may be caused by incorrect installation, abuse or fair wear and tear. These guarantees are in addition to consumers’ statutory rights.
Cancelling an order: You have 7 working days from the day following receipt of goods to notify us in writing of cancellation. Goods must be as NEW, and in RE-SALEABLE CONDITION ON THEIR RETURN. Goods are dispatched from PMF Cladding, Unit 9 Alexa Court, Cambridge Road Industrial Estate, Bedford MK42 0LJ and MUST BE RETURNED TO THIS ADDRESS. You will be charged for the COST of the Original Delivery and you will be CREDITED for the goods returned if in resaleable condition, less a 20% RE-STOCKING AND ADMINISTRATION CHARGE, if returned in original condition and in the original packaging.
Certain Stock items can easily be cancelled, but items which have been cut to size i.e. polycarbonate or non stock items which have been especially ordered in for a customer, can only be cancelled if the order has not already been processed.
