outline of the weekend
Registration is from and the weekend starts with dinner at followed by class tuition. On Sunday after lunch there will be a short informal concert and the weekend will finish with afternoon refreshments at .
Cost of the weekend is £245 single ensuite,£213 shared twin ensuite, £145 non-residential, campervans £145 plus breakfast at £7 per day if wanted.
Elias Sibley – Classic Finger-style 5-string banjo
This course is suitable for beginners (with a sound basic knowledge of the instrument and music reading) as well as more advanced students and will cover all main aspects of finger-style banjo playing with particular regard to ensemble playing, interpretation, technical development, fingering, sight reading and practice methods.

This course is for mixed fretted instruments and Pandeiro (Brazilian percussion tambourine – a few will be available to try). Participants will be taught three tunes composed or selected specifically for this workshop: a maxixe, baiao and a slow choro. This course is for intermediate/more experienced students. Ability to read music is an advantage but not essential. Chords and music provided in advance.
