Bug

This is a great all rounder; a belay device that is equally at home down the climbing wall as it is out on the grit. It even works well on wet ropes.

It is designed to work with medium to ‘fat’ ropes, and within the 8.5mm – 11mm range it handles beautifully. This is actually a tricky balance to get right, but we think we’ve nailed it. The Bug is slick enough to allow a quick release of rope, just when it’s needed, but secure enough to allow a firm lock down in the event of a fall.

It can be used as an abseil device within the rope diameter guidelines. It certainly gives superb control and remarkably good heat dissipation.

Belay Master II

Belay carabiners don’t always behave as you might want them to. There is potential for the biner to flip into a bad alignment and for cross loading to occur.

With this in mind we came up with a special clip that once locked in position prevents cross loading occurring by holding the biner and belay device in the correct alignment. There is another advantage too: the clip can only be locked if the Screwgate has been properly closed first.

We’ve given it a Taper Lock nose, a special flared profile on the nose of the biner which significantly increases the side loading strength of the gate. The belay Master 2 is also surprisingly light.

So there you have it, one of the safest belay biners ever made and a fool proof set up that has proved very popular with climbing walls and outdoor centres.

Chalk Bag

This is a neat little fleece lined chalk bag, perfect for a quick dip when you’re sport climbing or having a session down the wall.

It’s got a really secure draw cord seal, so no spillage in the rucsac. It also has a tooth brush holding loop and a handy zip pocket – somewhere to keep your car keys.

Chalk Ball

Loose chalk can be messy, even if you’re not the clumsy type it’s hard to avoid spilling the stuff all over the place. Little wonder that most climbing walls encourage the use of chalk balls.

Chalk balls keep the chalk inside your chalk bag where it should be. They come in a handy size, so one quick squeeze and you’ve got a good covering.
