DOCTOR WHO (Signed by 12 Actors)

DOCTOR WHO autographs. Iconic BBC TV science-fiction programme which has run for 26 seasons since 1963 with close to 800 episodes. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord a time travelling humanoid alien with two hearts known as The Doctor. He explores the universe in his Tardis  time machine (externally a blue British police box) which flies through time and space. Along with a succession of companions the Doctor faces a variety of foes (most famous of which over the years have included The Daleks and The Cybermen) while working to save civilisations help ordinary people and right wrongs ...... Between 1963-2014 twelve actors have played the part of The Doctor. Allowing the image of the lead actors to change over the years has been made possible and convincing as a result of a unique scripting idea known as "regeneration" when the first actor (William Hartnell) left the series in 1966.

A wonderful full set of original autographs on cards and autograph book pages in various inks by all twelve actors who have played the lead part of The Doctor ; 1) William Hartnell d1975 (1963-66) / 2) Patrick Troughton d1987 (1966-69) / 3) Jon Pertwee d1996 (1970-74) / 4) Tom Baker (1974-81) / 5) Peter Davison (1981-84) / 6) Colin Baker (1984-86) / 7) Sylvester McCoy (1987-89) / 8) Paul McGann (1996) / 9) Christopher Eccleston (2005) / 10) David Tennant (2005-2010) / 11) Matt Smith (2010-2013) / 12) Peter Capaldi (2014-)

NB ; The set of autographs will be supplied with 20 photographs that could be used within a mounted display. The customer can design this themselves or we can do this at additional cost (similar to the specification shown in the image here). The problem is the potential size of the display this could not be shipped overseas and would need to be collected in the UK in-person or by courier. ((Contact me if you wish to discuss the options))

The signatures of the first two actors (William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton) to play The Doctor during the 1960s are especially rare and sought after by collectors. These can cost more to purchase than all the other 10 actors put-together.

1) WILLIAM HARTNELL autograph d1975. English actor who appeared in over seventy British films but who will be forever remembered as the first actor to play Doctor Who in the cult BBC TV series between 1963-1966. Doctor Who earned Hartnell a regular salary of GBP315 per episode by 1966 (equivalent to GBP4050 a week in modern terms). Throughout his tenure as the Doctor he wore a wig when playing the part as his character had long hair ; whereas in private life he himself favoured the traditional short-back-and-sides. Very few photographs exist of him dressed as the Doctor without the wig. Hartnell's deteriorating health (he suffered from arteriosclerosis) began to affect his ability to say his lines and additional poor relations with the production team on the series (after the departure of Verity Lambert) ultimately led him to leave his role in 1966. He died of heart failure aged 67 in 1975.

2) PATRICK TROUGHTON autograph d1987. English TV and film actor best known for being the second Dr Who between 1966-1969. A lifelong chain-smoker he suffered with poor health later in life surviving two heart attacks. He died aged 67 of a heart attack in 1987.

An outstanding item and a rare opportunity to purchase a fabulous full set of Doctors actors signatures ....
