Design is great! Easy to fill water reservoir from the top and a breeze to clean with the removable drip tray. Controls are in perfect location. Frothing knob on top is a great spot and the frother itself works very well. Only real drawbacks are the coffee/pod filter holder - not easy to put in so you have to hold machine with the other hand. And with ESE pods I am getting a mediocre crema. Have had other machines (Francis!Francis!) that work beautifully with pods. Last drawback is that it's made in china. While it works great now, who knows how long it will last....Overall good unit for the money. UPDATE: Just a year and a half later the thing stopped working properly! Yup, just like everything made in china....doesn't last!!! The pump failed on this machine already! CANNOT RECOMMEND this unit, but thankfully I only paid 99 bucks for it. Good deal as long as you are prepared to throw it out after a year or two of use...Read full review

Good looking machine and should be one of the best but there are no good instructions for someone who's never used one, and the latte component does not do a good job at latte-fying.

This is a great second level espresso machine. If you know how to work it properly, its very easy to use. Machine makes a great cup of coffee, no need to spend lots of money on automated espresso machines. Just be sure to prime the machine before and after each use to ensure it will last years. ALSO, it always bothers me instructional videos show them pulling the shot of espresso first, then steaming the milk. WRONG, steam your milk first, then pull the shot of espresso. For best quality, pour the shot of espresso in a cup that already has a little steamed milk in it to ensure the highest quality and best taste. Never let the shot of espresso sit alone for more than 10 seconds. It should have a rich cream caramel color rather than a dark color. Hope this helps

PROS: This little espresso maker brings absolute enjoyment to me every single day! 1. It is used thought the work week and absolutely no issues with heavy use. (Clients, guests, colleagues) 2. It takes, as you may know, filter pods or ground coffee. For me the pods are perfect. It makes for an easier to clean situation, especially it being in my office. 3. The 15 millibar pump produces perfect crema every time! 4. The compact aesthetics makes it an absolute joy to use. 5. Using the unit is simple to use, and cleaning is straightforward without any problems or complications. 6. Over the year and a half that I have had this unit I know that it will offer superbly robust results without falter. 7. A few others have taken notice of this espresso machine and it's performance, in my office, and have bought one for themselves. CONS: 1. I just wish there was some sort of dispensing limit on the unit. If your attention is called away you will miss the mark to shut off the pump thereby overflowing your cup. 2. The built in tamper is rigid and quite restrictive. I purchased a metallic tamper which makes for a consistent compression and better experience.Read full review

We can brew amazing coffee quickly now. The water reservoir allows us to brew more than the equivalent of one shot theoretically because it shuts of when the button is pushed. Of course the coffee would start to get weaker/diluted after awhile if it continued to run for too long before we push the button to stop the shot(s) from pouring. Also, the machine vibrates quite a bit so is noisier than we expected. Other than the noise, we are very happy with it, and some people consider us coffee snobs.
