DeathRow Velo Skull Screamer Black Jersey
DeathRow Velo Clothing Review at OHIOOUTSIDE.COM. DeathRow Velo describes their clothing and style with sayings like â âcycle with an urban edgeâ, ânot your usual wearâ, âstreet style for cyclistsâ - and so forth. Itâs highly unlikely that a racer who includes Bugs Bunny jerseys in his/her wardrobe wonât share space with DeathRow, but it is perfect for the cyclist trying stand out and show his competitive, urban edged, tough and unstoppable side. Jerseys: Six designs to choose from, all trendy and cutting edge with black (the new trend) and white as the primary colors. As mentioned above, not for the faint hearted as all these designs have skulls, gears and resemble more of a tattoo that you would see on a Harley Rider. The 100% Coolmax Jersey (150 GSM - aka g/m2 = grams per square meter) provides comfort, is lightweight and allows optimal breathability. These thermal sublimation print / digital print jerseys look great and perform with the best companies out there. After numerous washes there is no sign of fading or color bleeding, and they seem to be holding form rather well. You get the standard three pockets in the rear for holding phones, tubes and bars. A ¾ zipper front and standard height collar to keep the sun off your neck are all part of this jersey, with crisp clean graphics. A style which demands a second look by your opponent, a comfortable fit and everything you could ask for out of a bike jersey that comes in at a $79.99 price point. Shorts: This was actually the first pair of non-bib shorts that I had put on in over 7 or 8 years so it was a bit of a shock to me. Not having the âbibâ part kind of made me feel a little naked but after a couple of rides I started to get use to the feeling. Made from a 200 GSM Spandex/ Nylon blend the shorts had a great fit to them, the fabric just heavy enough to hold form, but not to thin to become âsee throughâ when wet. With 9 panels (I think that is what I counted) they offer a great fit for shorts for a cyclist. The pad is micro-antibacterial, which is pretty standard now a days, but still very important. It is comfy and big, and you wonât feel the edge of the pad underneath your butt. The important part here is that the shorts match the jerseys. No one wants to look like a dweeb out on the road looking like a rainbow that just threw up, plus when your kit matches you have that little something extra which makes you feel faster. Bibs: Just as we were going to âprintâ with this article a set of bibs showed up on our doorstep. Thank you DRV! As comfy as the shorts were, nothing beats a good olâ fashion pair of bibs. I didnât hesitate to immediately try them on and head out for a ride thinking they would feel the same as the shorts - without the feeling that my âlower backâ was showing. My first impression was that the pad felt big. Even though it felt big while standing in the drive way it was as comfy as can be on the bike. They felt like a pair of bibs that would run in the $150.00 dollar range. 9 Panels in the lower half of the bibs held to form, contoured perfectly and just fit like a good bibs should. When on the bike they felt great and the pad did it's job (which is to keep my butt comfy) like a champ. There is a seem in the upper half that rides about 2-3 inches below the nipple but during all the riding time stayed out of harms way. Aesthetically they even looked a tad cooler then the shorts, with white stitching on all the seams, creates a techy look to them. The uppers are made of the same material as the bottom, a 82/18 spandex/nylon mix. Available in sizes: S, M, L, XL & XXL
DeathRow Velo⢠is dedicated to producing top quality cycling clothing with innovative designs with an urban edge sans the juvenile palette and patterns. Designs more racers will crave. Most competitive cyclists will spend over 12 hours per week on their bike so why give up style for functionality.
