We are able to repair 95% of laptops which come through our workshop. However some units are un-repairable.
This is the price for a reballing repair service that involves lifting your chipset and replacing the spheres with new leaded ones. This will help to provide you with a longer lasting repair.
We accept all units even if they have had past repairs. However if the unit can’t be repaired we will charge a £20 fee to recoup the money for some of our time. However if the system has been disasembaled prior we will not be able to offer any partial refund due to the nature of the systems and due the fact that we do not know what has happened to the system prior, it is at our discretion to find if the system has been dismantled prior. For machines which have had past repairs we highly recommend that you have a replacement chipset fitted to your system this is available for an additional £15 of labour plus the chipset its self these are usually available from the Uk for around £15 this ensures that even though the chip has been heat-cycled before the repair will be long lasting as bad previous repairs or even more professional ones will affect the chipset its self and if these repairs are done incorrectly they can cause permanent damaged to the die and chipset its self * The service charge which we charge is for the attempted repair of your system, and if you system is fully repaired after the attempt the listing charge is all you will pay, there are no hidden or extra charges involves. If we are unable to repair your system we will usually be able to either offer a discounted rate on extra parts if required such as replacement chipsets or offer discounts on second user and refurbished systems.
We can fix the “7 Beep” Error, Random numbers letters, dots etc. on the screen, blank screen, white screen and distorted video output. This can also be referred to as artifacting this is a similar issue which happened many years ago involving Nvidia.
We can also repair other errors, however you will need to contact us to discuss those repairs. We are able to fix 99% of other laptop issues also however not limited to power socket replacement, keyboard replacement and much more. Please contact us using the "ask a question" button bellow.
We use our professional rework station to repair the solder underneath the Chipset which causes the 7 beep error and if you experience video errors we repair the solder underneath the GPU chip which supplies video to the screen. This is a repair method which we have found to give a laptop a new lease of life for anyware between 9 months to many years, we are professionals in the industry. We began back in 2008 doing repairs on the DV9000 and DV6000 series of systems, when only very basic rework machines where available, the process had just been available at the time, there were no online guides or tutorials on how to rework. All of it was done using a few videos available to us at a very high cost. We started from the ground up, unlike newer reworkers who have begun on newer machines, many newcomers are unable to spot signs when reworking which tell you that you need to stop and change something. This enables us to have a very high success rate and have very long lasting repairs.
After the repair has taken place we will replace all of the thermal interface material, clean the internal system fan and replace the thermal pad on the problem area to increase heat dispersion.
Some people use a paint stripper to repair these issues but this will not get your motherboard nearly hot enough to melt the solder and usually damages components around the chipset. This can lead to a more expensive repair and can lead to your machine needing a full board replacement which can cost many hundreds of pounds. Also even if it does “repair” the issue it will only last a matter of hours, days or weeks.
Have it repaired once properly and never have it repaired again for the same issue. This is why we back all of our repairs with a 2 month warranty to give you piece of mind that the fault will not return to haunt you again. **
We understand that getting your unit back in as short amount of time is important to you so we try to return units within 3 working days, however some repairs may take more than this. If you would like to know the progresses of your repair feel free to contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. However please do check the tracking of your parcel to ensure it has arrived with us, we will update the ebay system with when the system is sent as soon as the courier has collected it, so can you please check that before contacting us.
Your unit will be fully serviced internally and thoroughly checked to ensure that the repair we have performed is both running well and will be long lasting.
We recommend that all laptops are used on a flat hard surface to help stop the laptop being clogged up with hair, dust etc. Also it ensures that air can be exhausted from the machine.
We require that any buyers must have at least 20 positive feedback with at least 99% positive if you do not then please contact us so that we can advise you.

In the event I am found not to be the true owner or authorized handler of this equipment/part I assume all liability for any claim made as a result of the technical support rendered by Technology Repair on this equipment/part, including those claims which assert negligence on the part of Technology Repair Upon submission of any service requests.
We have the right to refuse to service any system without reason.
I understand that Technology Repair is not responsible for any loss, which may occur as a result of servicing my equipment/part (including sim cards and memory cards).
I understand that not all equipments/parts can be repaired due to faulty manufacturing, components aging or inappropriate use of the equipment/part.
I understand that any services rendered by Technology Repair will void any existing manufacturer warranties for this equipment/part. I expressly waive all claims against Technology Repair for any damages to this equipment/part or data loss that are incidental to the repair process rendered by Technology Repair

Our highly trained technicians pride themselves on doing a repair correctly so we are happy to offer a warranty whether a unit has been repaired before or not.
Our warranty period varies depending on if a repair has been performed before or not.
If a unit hasn’t been repaired before we offer a 2 month warranty, and if it has been repaired before we are unable to offer a warranty this is due to the fact that we don't know what has happened to the system prior.
In the very unlikely event of a unit going faulty you will be required to send us the unit at your expense and be required to pay the return postage.

A. Yes, however we will be unable to fully test the system prior to sending it back to you.

Sending Your Unit
When sending your unit please ensure that it is packaged well enough that it is able to withstand 2 ways of shipping, one to us and one back to you.
Once you have bought the service please send us over an ebay message as this is seen by us much faster than a sale via ebay, we will then send you our address and instructions.
Please do not include the charger/power supply for your unit as this it can become difficalt for us to know which customers have included and which customers have not included their power supply's with their machines.
Please send your unit with an appropriate level of cover to cover the cost of the repair and the cost of the laptop.
Please send the battery with the unit and please don’t send anything else as they will increase postage costs both ways.
Our postage price includes postage from us back to you; we use Hermes 3-5 Day delivery. The price includes £50 cover however if you wish to have more then please contact me and we can arrange that at a small additional cost. We are unable to be held accountable for any extra losses which may occur beyond the postage cover, any loss or damage claims which are submitted must be submitted directly to the courier which you have selected. My Hermes do not cover any damage on electrical items they will only cover against loss, so please if you wish for your system to be covered for damage then select the 24 Hour option.
If you select our 24 hour option it will be sent back using either TNT or UK Mail 24 Hour courier, this includes a £50 of cover however more is available on request.
Please ensure that all systems are packaged securely and are able to withstand 2 ways of shipping without needing any extra packaging. We prefer if you use a plain white or brown box and don't use a branded box which is associated with an expensive brand name. Any systems which are not packaged securely will either be sent back to you however you will not have any form of compensation/insurance on the laptop/pc. Or you will be asked to pay extra towards new/recycled packaging to package your system securely. If you don't wish to pay the extra fee then as mentioned you will waiver any form of insurance or compensation. The usual cost of repackaging would be around £7.
We recommend that you use parcel force or UPS to send your unit. Please ensure that the model and make of machine which you are sending to us matches the model listed in the item description. If the make and model isn't listed please either find a listing on our account for the model or do not send the machine. If you do send a machine which isn't correct for the service then the machine will not be repaired and the machine will be returned to you and no money will be refunded as it will be your mistake. Sorry that i have to add this in however i have recently been getting in machines which don't match the model which the listing is for, this is a issue as some models require more work so the service isn't fully paid for and its harder for us to locate your machine as it isn't as the description is.
