My "refurbished" eBay Dell Optiplex GX620 is one of the very best PC bargains I've ever made. Its Pentium D 3.2 Ghz is Hyperthreaded, which essentially approximates Intel's Core 2 Duo lineup, which followed the Pentium D. The first generation of those Core 2 Duos, however, only ran at 2.0 - 2.66 Ghz, so these Pentiumn Ds @ 3.0 - 3.4 Ghz are very competitive with those CPUs. Additionally, Dell's construction of their SFF PCs is so well-designed and solid (great fans & cooling) that these little machines can run forever. Only caveat, Windows XP runs fine with 1 GB, but because this was a Windows 7 PC, I immediately added another 1 GB module.
I am well pleased with this computer, working just fine. I have been using Dell computers for a long time and I always find them to give good service. However this one is the best ever, Dell OptiPlex GX620 (80 GB, Intel Pentium 4, 3 GHz, 1 GB) Desktop. They keep making them better every time I purchase another one and as long as I get good service from them I will continue to use dell computers, and the price is all ways right and that helps too.
Hello and yes I bought this great Computer and love it. I also Made a purchase of Macrium Reflect BACK UP program that I was told about on Ask Leo and also bought Leos Macrium instruction book. The Computer is working fine and the BACK UP of the computer has been checked and will save me if I should have a BAD problem. I have purchased many items on EBAY and have always been happy with purchases.
We ended up buying three of these towers. We replaced older XP units we were still using in our small business network. They have been flawless to date and we expect them to last for a long time. At the price we got them for, they were a great upgrade.
Very pleased with this computer. It does everything I need it to, works well and is fairly fast. I don't think you will find a better buy for the money. The battery in mine holds an excellent charge so that was a plus.
