Good product. I've had two as doorbells, one in my living room and one in my bedroom, for more than a year. My bedroom is also my study, library, office, etc. I'm hearing impaired and really need the loud tone and the blinking light. I'm 91 and live alone so I bought another one and put it in my friend and next door neighbor's house (the other half of this duplex) to use as an emergency call system. Works great!

This product has a "very short" transmission range even on our brick house. I had to move my doorbell receivers to the closest plug to the door, that we use most upstairs and downstairs. Other transmitters would reach. The door on side of house is used most and it's pretty close to center so I was very lucky to have had outlets within 15' of transmitter. The doors even have glass in them so that was not a factor. Old doorbells 20 years old and still reached all 3 doors with their transmitters. I would have sent these back if it wasn't so much trouble. I bought 2 doorbell kits to make it even worse.

It's a very dependable doorbell unlike the battery powered ones. But this one is really loud! I put some box tape over the speaker with little poked holes and now it's perfect. (You can't see the tape even close up#

Love the ring tones and is loud enough for me to hear it from anywhere in the house. Good buy, and easy to install, except for having to use the drill to drill through the back plate. Otherwise, ease of plugging it into any wall outlet.
