This is a Buyers guide to Ducati's bevel twins, it certainly tries to cover all of the twins despite its small size, from the early 750's through the 860's to the final Mille's a big ask but it meets the challange well, lots of information in the text and abundant colour photographs. For someone who is ignorant of Taglioni's greatest creations but wants to enter into the complex world of ownership then this book is an excellent starting point. No real dislikes about the book only the lack of a photo of the 860 GT probably the most important 860 in the story.
When I was a young teenager a motorcycle rode through my home town and it sounded like no other, I turned looked and fell in love. It was a Ducati 900SS in black and gold. Some 20 years later I had one made for me from NOPs. This book would have been so useful then. Today twin cylinder bevel Ducati’s are becoming major investments and this book is an absolute requirement before buying, even if you not in the market but love bikes then it’s a great read.
Good as a starting point, but not a “bible” for a concours overhaul
