This replicated pattern is sized for a 38 bust.

Transcribed From The Original Source Material:

Ladies dress features a faux-vest at center front, with under chemisette for modesty.  The skirt is in two pieces with a straight front panel, the sleeves are elbow length and finished with a ruffle.  The neckline is trimmed with a deep ruffled lapel and an optional sash completes the look.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The source material from which these early patterns are replicated contain much less information than the more modern patterns from the 1920's and 1930's.

Patterns and fashion journals published during these eras presumed that the home seamstress possessed sufficient skills to construct a garment without detailed directions.  As a result, patterns for facings, linings and other details - such as instructions on how to create trims, are sketchy at best -- and usually non-existent.  Most of the time sizes and yardage information is also unavailable.

Be aware that all of these patterns run small compared to our modern bodies, and were drafted with the understanding that "proper" undergarments and corsets would be worn underneath.  Armholes especially tend to be much tighter and smaller than modern garments.  It is very important when sewing these items to make a fitting mock-up of the pattern out of muslin or other waste fabric, and make all of the adjustments for your individual figure on the mock-up.

This pattern was originally created by Dec. 30, 1919.  The copyright for this pattern has expired, and it entered public domain on Jan. 1,  1997.  The original pattern was from a mail order company/publisher is unknown.

Our replicated historic patterns are the highest quality available on Ebay.  They are electronically digitized and printed on a high-quality graphics printer in three colors.  Paper is a beautiful 18lb semi-transparent vellum for ease of pinning and cutting. They are NOT inferior hand drawn, photo-copied or blue-printed replications.
Our reproduced patterns are printed on full size sheets - no need for taping multiple small pages, or resizing from a small diagram.

In order to make these early patterns easier to use, our patterns include seam allowances, grain lines, and clarified markings as much as possible.  Also included are updated text/instructions that were available in the original source material for ease of construction.  Patterns are reproduced directly from the original source material, with no changes in order to retain the historical accuracy of the pattern.  Prior sewing experience and knowledge of working with vintage patterns is recommended.

We accept 100% returns on any patterns you are not happy with.

International bidders, please read shipping information before placing a bid.  Our patterns are not like the 'big four' pattern companies.  They are much larger and heavier, thus the cost for shipping is calculated.  We do NOT charge a handling fee.  The cost for shipping reflects actual cost to us.  An example of USPS 1st class charges are as follows:

Up to 12oz - 13.62
13oz to 1lb - 16.60
Over 1lb - 18.17+

Our patterns generally weigh between 10oz - 14oz.  Shipping fees can be very frustrating for both customer and seller.  Be assured we are only charging the cost to us.  If there is a major discrepancy once your item posts, a refund for the difference will be given via your PayPal account.

A REMINDER REGARDING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

Although this pattern has been reproduced from an item in the public domain, this new VPLL pattern is “NOT considered a public domain item.

As a customer you may use this pattern for limited personal use (yourself, friends, school plays, local theater, etc.), but you may “NOT” reproduce this pattern purchased from me in any way.

I am prepared to protect my work and copyright if violated.

I apologize to my honest customers for having to print this notice, but I have found other sellers listing my patterns without the decency to even change my artwork.  It’s quite a bit of work to provide these patterns to the standards I demand – I am honored to be able to provide them for your sewing pleasure.

What's a max bid?
Your max bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.
We keep your max bid amount a secret from the seller and other bidders.
Max bidding example:
If a current bid is £20 and your max bid is £30, we bid £21 for you.
If no one else bids, you win and pay £21.
However, if someone else places a bid for £35, you will be out bid and the new highest bid on the auction will be £31. You will need to increase your max bid to more than £35 to be the highest bidder.
