The engine it fits and were it fits is pictured below.
This blanking plate is Laser cut and made from 2mm stainless steel, and has been rumbled [ big noisy machine full of plastic stones ] to to make it smooth and no sharp edges. It gives a cleaner pick up at lower revs because it stops exhaust gas being recycled especially if its dirty or jammed open. It should not put on the engine management light on in the Vauxhalls, but sometimes may in the Honda, as it is a common rail, and has different software (ecu)
Fits between the exhaust manifold and the tube that runs round to the egr valve at the back of the engine, as pictured below. The valve can't be removed, as it is part of the inlet system.

        FITS ISUZU 1.7 engines fitted in:
VAUXHALL DTi, DTL, Di,    ENGINES Y17DT, Y17DTI, Y17DTL , Di 1998-2004
        HONDA 1.7 i-CTDi Fits all years
Will not fit newer models Vauxhalls 1.7 16 valve CDTi engines ie Z17DTH Z17DTL (gasket is bigger)

          I keep getting asked if it will fit the 2.0 2.2 engines. They can't be blocked of with a plate (see this link on my photo bucket for info:

Benefits of blocking EGR:
       1. Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine life.

2. Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs

3. Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power

4. Give a smoother drive, and less black smoke

5 Will help when it come to the MOT, as Diesel's are tested for excess smoke (In the UK)

FITS THIS ONE BELOW Between the exhaust manifold and the egr gas pipe, #2 GASKET IN THE DRAWING.
It can't be blanked between the egr valve and the inlet manifold, as the valve is part of the inlet system.
