For sale is a very rare, audiophile-owned Epicure Model One (EPI M1 M-1) 700W Amplifier. This unit is extremely rare, especially in such great condition, and represents the brief venture EPI made into the high-end stereo market. I purchased this piece of equipment in the early 80’s and have been the only owner since (retail price $979.00). The unit is in very good condition; see specifics below:
Specifications are as follows:

Input Sensitivity: 1 volt for 125 watts
Stability: Unconditionally stable from short to open
Oscilloscope display output connections on each channel. All factory components: Protector faceplate, vent cover over power caps.
These units were rumored to be unprofitable to produce by Epicure, thus despite their superior quality.
Serial No.: 1897
This unit has only been moved twice for which it was moved between my Bell’Oggetti rack, and a custom built home theater rack enclosure. The faceplate (glass) is flawless. There are very few marks/scratches (if any) and are on the outside enclosure from being slid in/out of the audio racks. There are no ‘dings’ or dents what so ever. At the time of rack/unit disassembly, all buttons, knobs, lights, fittings, plugs and accessories are tight, snug and work 100% flawlessly as intended from the factory. See included pictures.
Every effort will be made to ensure this piece arrives to your doorstep in the same great condition it currently is in. Item will be professionally packed using bag enclosure to protect against moisture, non-static packing peanuts and no-descript shipping box. Insurance and tracking is included in the shipping price. Please note: this amp is very heavy!
Please ask any and all questions before placing a bid. This is a truly terrific unit in excellent condition which should go to a good home and see many more years of enjoyment! I will do my best to answer any/all questions in a timely manner. This item is being sold from a private residence in Chicago, Illinois. Local pickup may be arranged (and preferred due to this particular item’s heavy weight).
