Contacting Made to Last Linens This is an eBay internet selling site. To contact us you MUST do so by the eBay e-mail messaging service. We aim to reply to you within 2 working days.
 
Delivery Address It is the buyer’s responsibility to check their delivery address is correct as we are bound to deliver to the name & address on the account. If you need to change this please change the personal information in your My eBay account. eBay will help you with this if unsure.
 
Ordering By ordering from us you are agreeing to the regulations laid down by eBay & our terms & conditions & returns policy.
 
Listing Photographs & Descriptions especially re: colours Unlike some sellers we only list items we have in stock & photograph most of them in-house. As amateur photographers the colour resolution does not always come out correctly (or you may see them differently than us in your screen resolution) so please do not take the colours on the photographs as being an exact representation even though they are an example of the exact item. Buyers must read our listing descriptions in full before ordering as they give further information e.g. manufacturer calls an item burgundy – we call it burgundy / rust (with a brown hue): manufacturer calls an item pink & shows pink on the packaging, but item is more of a purple/pink colour – we state that it is a purple/pink colour. We cannot be held responsible if the shade of an item is not as you expected, but as long as the item is still ‘as sold’ we will always accept returns & refund the sales price of the item/s in full if our returns procedure is followed. The buyer is responsible for the cost of postage & packaging. 

Dispatch Dispatch time is usually the next working day after your payment has been confirmed or as shown in the listing. If there are any perceived problems with your order we will email you via eBay messaging to let you know and to either agree to cancel your order and give you a full refund or revise the order as instructed.
 
Postage & Packaging Costs (P&P) and Combined Order Discounts We are not in the habit of making profit from the P&P. In some cases we make a loss as we have subsidised it. If unsure please check costs with our two major carriers’ web sites price lists: Royal Mail & Parcelforce http://pricefinder.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po before you consider unfairly issuing us with a low feedback score for postal costs when in fact you were often undercharged. E.g. Most of our Jumbo throws weigh c2,500g which costs £7.62 to send by Royal Mail standard parcels, £9.72 by 1st class recorded and £11.99 by Parcelforce 48. This does not include our packaging and handling costs. We charge between £3.99 and £6.60 (current postal charge at 11/9/11) for the first throw and a maximum of £7.99 for between two to twelve throws to UK mainland addresses not including highlands and islands. If after checking the post office price finder site you believe we have made a mistake please let us know so that we can put it right. Occasionally multi-purchase customers are over-charged because the eBay system does not have a shopping basket and the only way we can amend their invoices to give a combined postage discount* is to do this manually. If they have paid before we have had time to do this and we see the error we will refund them. If not you need to let us know so we can put it right for you. This is a fault in the eBay system and not a deliberate attempt by us to overcharge you. Customers in the highlands and islands need to e-mail us for a best quote on postage costs for multiple purchases. *Combined postage discount means the items ordered are sent in one parcel to one address and the lowest possible price for the weight, volume and destination is charged. Due to economies of scale with the carriers’ pricing structures this nearly always works out cheaper pro rata.
 
Delivery Normally there are no problems with deliveries & items get to our customers quickly & easily – especially those who abide by our terms of providing us with a manned delivery address. However we cannot be held responsible for the length of delivery time – we are only responsible for dispatch time. There are the inevitable but rare occasions (industrial action, bad weather, peak delivery periods) when a parcel may be held up or lost. If your parcel has been sent by Royal Mail we are only able to start a lost claim against them from the 15th working day after dispatch. If your postage fee was under £7.99 or your delivery address is in the highlands or islands it is likely your parcel went by Royal Mail. If the postage cost was under £5 it is likely it went by standard untracked /unrecorded post & so we have no way of checking where it is. If it has been held up you must wait until the 15th working day after dispatch before informing us of any delay / non-delivery so that we may then start the claim process & get a refund for you or post out a replacement. It is very important you check that your parcel has not been left with a neighbour or has been returned to the local sorting or post office. This could happen if you gave us an unmanned address & your parcel was too large to fit through the letterbox, or if nobody was there or nobody answered the door at the time of attempted delivery. Please investigate this before the 15th day. If your postage cost £7.99 or thereabouts it is likely it went by Parcelforce 48 and we will have issued them with your e-mail address to send your tracking number. Go to www.parcelforce.com to check your parcel’s progress. Please let us know within 2 working days if there has been a delay with your Parcelforce delivery and your delivery address was continually manned.
 
Non-payment eBay explain that as soon as you have clicked to buy you have entered into a legally binding contract with the seller, which is why they charge the seller a sales fee before the buyer has paid & the item is removed from sale from the seller’s listing. Please do not click to buy if you have no intention of paying within 7 days. If you have difficulty with the payment system please let us know within 24 hours of ordering so that we can advise you – do not ignore the problem. If an order has not been paid in full within 7 days of ordering eBay start an automatic unpaid item case against the buyer (at which stage the seller is unable to get involved) & if not paid will result in a black mark against the buyer whose account may eventually be restricted or suspended.
 
Cancellations If you wish to cancel an order please let us know by email via eBay messaging within 6 days of ordering & state your sales record number. We will put in a request for eBay to cancel your order but you must answer their e-mail & agree to the cancellation as it stays on the books until you tell them. If a refund is needed we will refund whatever has been agreed into your PayPal account within 7 days.
 
Feedback Most of our customers are absolutely delighted with their purchases & the service we have given them & show their appreciation by buying from us again & giving us fabulous feedback. However if there was something that didn’t delight you which we could do something about, then please let us know so we have a chance of putting it right. It is most unfair just to post a ‘niggle’ on the feedback without letting us explain or correct it so please let us know first.

If not delighted with your purchase please e-mail us via eBay within 3 days of receipt stating your sales record number (from your invoice) and we will issue you with a returns authorisation code to place on your returning package. If the goods were damaged in transit please let us know so we may put in a claim to the carrier. We will refund the sales cost of an eligible returned item in full as long as it is returned within 7 days with the authorisation code, in its original packaging and ‘as sold’. As soon as we have received and checked the item we will e-mail you and refund the full sales cost to your PayPal account, or by whatever method of payment you used, within 7 days. Personal and incontinence items are excluded for return and refund for hygiene reasons and goods sold as ‘seconds’ or ‘made to measure’ are also excluded. The postage and packaging costs of non-faulty returns are the responsibility of the buyer. If items are thought to have been faulty and on inspection we find them to be so, we will refund the postage and packing costs but only up to the cheapest standard royal mail cost. If you choose to pay for 1st class or recorded delivery, this is at your own cost. We advise customers ask for a free certificate of posting from the post office when returning a parcel. Opinions on item colour can differ and cannot be deemed as a fault.
