This auction is for an early paperweight pin dish possibly featuring Monart Canes and made by the Ysart Brothers in Scotland.
It is in very good condition for its age, no chips, cracks or scratches I can see, and is 1.5 inches high, 3.75 inches in diameter.
The glass encasing the paperweight is thick and quite dark, suggesting an early piece and the canes look to be pre-war Monart canes.
I gratefully acknowledge the expert input from the Glass Message Board contributor.
This paperweight pin dish is offered for sale at a low starting price with no reserve.
On 09-Apr-14 at 07:45:34 BST, seller added the following information:I have been further advised by Kevin at GMB (acknowledged expert) that although the canes are Ysart Brothers or earlier, the dish itself may have been made at a later date.
