THE KIT CONTAINS:

INSTRUCTIONS

1 X INNER OR OUTER CV BOOT (OUTER ONLY)

2 X STAINLESS STEEL FIXING STRAPS

1 X 60G GREASE SACHET

Jack up the vehicle

Jack up the vehicle, remove the road wheel and hub.  Remove the old boot and clips.

Clean away any grease or debris

Clean away any grease or debris from the shaft and joint.

Spray outer with cone spray

Check fitting cone for sharp or rough areas.  Smooth with abrasive paper if necessary.

Spray out with silicone spray, apply grease or any lubricant to ease the boot on.

Turn the boot inside out

If fitting the new boot to an outer cv joint, turn the boot inside out.

Spray the inside of the boot with cone spray

Spray inside of boot with spray or use lubricant.

Place the large end of the boot over the narrow end of the cone

Place the large end over the narrow end of the cone.

Place the large end of the cone over the joint

Place the large end of cone over the joint.

Push the boot until it is clear of the cone

Push the boot until it is clear of the cone.

Remove the cone and turn the boot right side out

Remove the cone and turn the boot right side out, if necessary.

Snip the corner of the grease sachet and fill the joint

Snip the corner of the grease sachet and fill the joint.

Slide and stretch the boot

Slide and stretch the boot into position over the joint.

Secure the boot with fixing clips

Secure the boot with fixing clips, removing any excess with tin snips.  Replace the hub and road wheel.

 

Or if preferred, the boot can be used as a standard universal boot if the stretch method is not used.
