Science Fiction & Fantasy
Future alien invasion
Larry Niven - Jerry Pournelle
Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle.
Orbit Paperback reprint, 1999. First published 1986.
10.8 x 17.8cm 700pages.
Good condition for its age. There are very faint creases on the spine and there is a little scuffing round the edges of the covers and there is one small crease on the lower corner of the front cover (see scan). All the pages are tight but have darkened a bit, not unusual with pulp paperbacks of this age. The copy in the listing photograph is the one you will get.
It was big all right, far bigger than any craft any human had ever seen. It had been decelerating for weeks and it was still travelling fast enough to escape the sun’s gravity with ease. Now it was heading for Earth.
The best brains in the business reckoned that any spacecraft nearing the end of a journey that might have taken centuries would just have to be friendly.
But they were wrong! Catastrophically wrong!
The most successful collaborative team in the history of science fiction has combined again to produce a devastating and totally convincing novel of alien invasion. (from cover blurb)
This book and packing weighs just over 450grams and is nearly 2 inches thick, so will probably be classed as a small parcel, hence the postal charge. If it costs less, I will make a refund via Paypal. Unlike many sellers on eBay I do not try to recoup listing and final fees as well as Paypal charges by inflating the postal charges. I use recycled materials in packing wherever possible.
Please make contact to arrange payment within three days of auction end or of receiving invoice.
Please look at my other listings. If you are successful with multiple bids please wait for my invoice which will have the costs of sending the items together. Enjoy bidding!
If you have any doubts about mailing costs, please email me.
I only accept Paypal.
All sales are final. I cannot accept returns unless due to a mistake in the listing, and will be limited to the cost of the item and not the postage costs. (Sorry about this but I must cover my back against frivolous bidders).
