ITS GOT TO GO!!
Ford transit wheelchair welfare minibus motorhome campervan conversion project. A once much loved, but now redundant, motorhome conversion for sale which must be moved by March.
This is a sought after vehicle converted into a unique motorhome with a comfortable accommodation for a couple and has been fitted with solar power, 12V/240V, diesel heater, gas cooker, watertank and plenty of space.
The vehicle is an ex council conversion by Devon, class-A coach-built wheelchar minibus based on a ford transit 190 chassis cab so bodywork is mainly aluminium and fibreglass. It was converted by myself 3 years ago to camper and it has never let me down!!!
Since purchase, the underside was gunned with shutz, a new cambelt, front brake discs and pads, brake lines, and a power steering line has been replaced, and oil/filters changed as required and some welding to arches. Transmission is very smooth and the engine runs great and clean. Lots of tread on most tyres and no nasty knocks or noises when driving.
Golden era kitchen unit with 2x gas rings and bottle, grill and sink.
40L Aquaroll water tank and 12V water faucet
Mahogony frame and pine slat bed with rest assured four foot mattress
Plenty of storage space and shelving
2-seat sofa / storage chest
2 coach seats and removable table
Walk-in wardrobe with storage clothes hangers and camping toilet
Blacked out windows and rear windows blanked off with aluminium sheet
Real wood flooring and features
4 x 12V lighting units each with small incandescent and 2 compact fluro tubes (selectable)
Electric side door (connected to alarm central locking relay so door is opened/closed with alarm blipper)
Lined with automotive carpet
NOT INCLUDED IN SALE BUT AVAILABLE IF REQUIRED: 120W GB-SOL poly crystaline solar panel (purchased new 3 years ago) with bespoke lockable roof mount which allows the panel to be inclined at 0, 30, 45 and 60 degrees in both directions.
NOT INCLUDED IN SALE BUT AVAILABLE IF REQUIRED: 80W Monocrysraline auxiliary solar panel... This is useful in the winter to supplement the main panel
NOT INCLUDED IN SALE BUT AVAILABLE IF REQUIRED: 2 x 250Ahr 6V = 12V US145 deep cycle traction batteries (purchased 3 year ago and always connected to panel)
NOT INCLUDED IN SALE BUT AVAILABLE IF REQUIRED: 300W Vicrton Phoenix 240V pure sinewave inverter (Old but top-end inverter will run fridges and laptops)
NOT INCLUDED IN SALE BUT AVAILABLE IF REQUIRED: Stecca solsum 10A PWM solar charge controller
Split-charge relay and switch to allow either leisure batteries or engine battery to be charged by panels
RCB and battery fuses
12V DC box with voltmeter and fuses
240V hookup socket
Very well insulated (front wall, roof, walls doors, carpet and curtains)
Webasto diesel night heater (Great but if not used for a long time the diaphram pump might need removing from under the vehicle and tapping with a screwdriver handle to loosen the diaphram)
USB MP3 / CD stereo
Toad alarm immobilizer with two blippers - siren missing
Failed last MOT on small welding patch required on offside wheel arch/cab floor corner and seat adjuster which needs to be sorted.
THE VAN IS NOW IN NEED OF A NEW WINDSCREEN AND BONNET. I've been keeping an eye out for a secondhand glass from a mercedes vario screen to get it back on the road but finances and a need to move the vehicle from the driveway that it occupies by march has forced me to regrettably just move on and sell it.
It has now been sat for a couple of months. Its got potential but requires some work.
