Product details and prices
Every effort is made to ensure that product details, descriptions and prices shown are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, will inform you as soon as possible. If the price shown is incorrect, we will offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling.
All items are offered subject to availability. If on receipt of your order, the item(s) you have ordered become no longer available, Costumes4fancydressuk. will inform you as soon as possible, giving you the option of purchasing an alternative product. If you decline this option, a reduction in payment equal to the value of the unavailable items will be made.
Product imagery & Graphics
We have gone to great lengths to illustrate our products, but each image should be viewed in conjunction with the descriptive text and will, of course, be limited by the screen settings of your own monitor screen. All images on our website are subject to copyright.
We ask for payment in advance of delivery. This can be by credit/debit card, via our secure shopping system. If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, your card company will convert the transaction into your own currency. We accept all major credit cards; American Express, MasterCard, Solo, Switch/UK Maestro, Visa, Visa Debit/Delta and Visa Electron. After you send your order you will receive a copy by email, please print or keep this copy for your own records. This does not mean we have accepted your order. Once your credit has been approved, the receiving address has been verified, and the item has been located, your order will be accepted. You will be notified by email regarding the progress of your order. All prices shown are in £ (GBP) sterling, and are inclusive of UK VAT at 20.0%.

Shipping, delivery and postage and packing
All relevant postage and packing, shipping or delivery charges are included in the cost of your order, and are calculated on final Checkout.
The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order. We aim to dispatch all orders within 24hrs once payment has been confirmed.
Due to the nature of our current cart facility shipping prices are currently set for UK customers, therefore addition shipping fees may be added to ensure that your goods arrive in good time. You will be notified by email of any additional fees. Your goods will not be shipped until these additional fees have been paid.
We are based in the UK and have been in the retail Fancy dress sector for over 10 years. We are a family run businesss that pride ourselves with a fast reliable service and good value products at affordable prices.
When do you despatch my item once paid?
All items paid before 12 noon will be dispatched the same working whenever possible Monday – Friday.
How soon will I get my item?
Here at Costumes 4 fancy dress uk we aim to get your goods delivered fast. Just see our feedback for proof! Most of our customers do get their item’s next day using 1st class postage, however next day delivery is not guaranteed unless you use Royal Mail Special Delivery.
I need my costume tomorrow, help?
To guarantee your item for next working day delivery please pay by 12 noon and opt for next day Special Delivery. We will try our best to send items out paid after this time but cannot guarantee it. Royal Mail Special Delivery offers guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm (Mon - Fri) to 99% of UK addresses as published on Royal Mails website, except bank holidays and public holidays. This service offers customers a full Track & Trace, available at Royal Mails website. Should you wish to track your order, please contact us and we will provide you with your tracking number.
What delivery company do you use?
We use Royal mail primarily for all our packages, for bigger parcels we tend to use Parcelforce.
I need my order sent to a different address to that on ebay what shall I do?
All invoices are automatically generated as soon as paid to the address on ebay. If you require an alternative address please call customer service on 0161 351 1833 BEFORE you place your order. A note in the paypal section or e-mail is not always read before the invoice is printed.
How do I know if my item has been sent?
Customers will receive email confirmation of orders and when items have been dispatched.
What cover of postage insurance do I have if my item is lost?
Royal Mail 1st class or 1st class recorded will be offered a maximum compensation of £34 and can be processed 15 working days after the date of postage. Royal Mail Special Delivery – Guaranteed next working day before 1pm (Mon-Fri) will be offered a maximum compensation of £500. For further information and updates please visit www.royalmail.com
I missed my delivery and now it is on its way back to you, what shall I do?
If any item is returned back to us because Royal Mail or any couriers were unable to re-deliver we reserve the right to request the re-postage costs should the item need to be re-posted. Should you require a refund then there will be a 10% restocking fee and your postage will not be refunded.
I am an international buyer what postage options do I have?
You can opt for airmail for items under £20 which is the cheapest option, however there is no compensation for loss and delay. International signed for is a trackable service which requires a signature upon delivery. Compensation is available. Please visit www.royalmail.com for more details. Any item weighing more than 2kg may be sent by another courier and may be subject to additional postage costs. International transactions, buyers may also be responsible for duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees as requested by country laws.
What do your P&P costs include?
Our postage & packaging charges include charges beyond the postage price for the item. Included in the price are the actual packaging materials costs and a reasonable handling fee to cover our time and direct costs associated with delivery.
I am arranging a party and need quite a few costumes, what discount can you offer?
If you are a corporate company, school, charity or organising a party or just wish to place a large order we can offer you a multiple order discount.
What is your return policy if the item I receive is faulty?
Genuinely faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded, however we must be advised of any faulty goods within 7 days of receipt and returned within 14 days. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us. If the item is found to be faulty, we will also refund the postage cost. Please note we only refund 1st class postage. All items returned to us will be inspected for signs of wear or sabotage. Items must be sent back with a copy of original invoice and a detailed note explaining reason of return/exchange and a telephone number. Failure to include any paperwork will result in delays in processing.
What is your return policy on items that do not fit or no longer required?
We are happy to take back items that do not fit or no longer required with the exception of wigs, hosiery & underwear which cannot be returned due to hygiene. Please send the item back in original packaging and packed neatly within 14 days of purchase in re-sellable condition. Items will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. Postage will not be refunded and it is the customer’s responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us. Any items returned after 14 days or incomplete will be sent back to the customer. Items must be sent back with a copy of original invoice, detailed note explaining reason of return and a telephone number. Failure to include any paperwork will result in delays in processing.
What is your return policy on items that need an exchange?
Items that require an exchange for a different size or item need to be sent back within 14 days of receipt. Items must include a detailed note along with a copy of the original invoice and/ or user id, item number and telephone number. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us and cover any additional costs or postage. Additional payment can be included in the return by cash or postal order
I received the wrong item what shall I do?
Please either contact us through ebay messages or alternatively call customer service on 0161 351 1833 who will be able to resolve the problem swiftly.
I received my items too late and now no longer needed what shall I do?
If your goods arrive after the party and we are at fault by not sending you out the items in time or you paid for next day delivery and you did not receive your item you can send the items back and we will refund you including your postage. If you are unavailable for delivery or have chosen 1st class postage which is not a guaranteed service, the items will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us.
What address shall I send my return to?

I sent my return but you have not received it... help?
You are responsible for any returned goods until they reach us. Cost and risk of return is at your expense and we strongly recommend you receive proof of posting or opt for a recorded service. Currently we only refund 1st class postage.
How long will my refund take to be processed?
Please allow up to 7 working days for your refund to be processed and 14 days during October-December. It may take some additional time for the refund to show up on your statement.
