I thought this a great idea , a Celestion speaker in a Fender, but it sounds like garbage. Low end mud. I bought the new Hot Rod Deluxe with this 8ohm Celestion, where the problem lies, and I have done a number of gigs in my original rock band, “Tom Serotonin and the Dopamines,” I have since bought two used fender stock speakers for it and my 112 extension cab to swap out the low mid 8ohm “muddy sound”, which should be 16ohm configuration to sound good IMHO. Don’t waste your time with this Amp or speaker cab get the stock one with fender 8ohm speakers and get the bite you need to cut through your band. I play Gibson Les Pauls and a Brian Setzer hollow body through the Hot Rod Deluxe and ext cab. I should have the “edge” I need and I don’t. The players that have been asking Fender to develop a more mid- range amp prolly just play by themselves all day. Nice one guys :pRead full review
