“Give the Fidelity Audio HPA-100 Headphone Amplifier plenty of time to run in, and you’ll have one of the finest headphone amplifiers anywhere near this price”
HPA-100 reviewed in the January 2014 issue of HiFi News (page 22)
“The spaces between the notes were amazingly explicit, falling back into the inky-black silence, and piano chords decayed with uncanny accuracy”
HPA-100 reviewed in the February 2011 issue of HiFi World (page 111)
“..it was immediately noticeable that the Fidelity Audio HPA-100 Headphone Amplifier offered a more focused performance…”
“..the Fidelity Audio HPA-100 Headphone Amplifier appeared to be calmer in its approach to the music, while the more balanced presentation allowed room for its rich bass flavours to flood in. This added to the ability of the Fidelity to discern layers in the vocal performance while texture was more discernible. In effect, the vocal output was more 3D in nature. The human voice can express so many subtle emotions during a song and the Fidelity found it easy to plug into those feelings.”
“This is a well rounded and balanced piece of kit that provides welcome transparency and clarity, allowing any pair of headphones to sing.”
Review HiFi Choice issue 356 March 2012
“Trust me – long listening sessions with this unit will inspire not only respect, but genuine affection!”
“FUSS-FREE, compatible with any headphone, and sonically almost eerily pure and unsullied. Such honesty may not be for all tastes, but we love it”

I've been meaning to write to you to tell you how much I've been enjoying the HPA 100 headphone amp. Certainly the best headphone sound I've yet heard through my Senn. 600s - more space, better separation, more instrumental clarity, and a feeling off 'flow' to the music. It is a really good product.
I believe I have found a perfect pairing, that is your HPA 100 with the Denon D7000 headphones. The clean clarity of your amp including its deep but tight and controlled bass matches the smooth sound and extravagant bass of the Denons to perfection.
I have also been fortunate enough to be able to compare your amp with the Burson HA160 which is pretty good in itself but your amp has an extra dimension of transparency and detail.
Thank you for a great product.
I just wanted to leave you my initial impression of the HPA-100 which arrived with me last Thursday, very well built and sounded good , after approx 120 hours of continuous burn in this headphone amp leaped into a completely different league, exceptional deep controlled bass, open and very expressive in the midrange and very sweet treble , detail retrieval compares with headphone amps that have cost me 5 times the price of this one . In side by side comparison on a par with 2 of my headphone amps that cost over £1,000. In summary it punches far beyond its price point, tested with Sennheiser HD 650 (modded cable) and Klipsch Image X10's , Grado 325iS.
I am really enjoying it, as I said to you on the phone I have all sorts of high end kit, I tried it with a Linn Numerik and Benchmark DACs the best performance came from the modded Denon 3910, I also tried various mains cables, the RA signature was good but it seems to prefer a Clearer audio silverline, which has now found a permanent home .
Thanks for the great service
