Ford Mk.1 Transit 'Landliner' camper van dating from 1972.
An opportunity to buy a classic Mk.1 Transit 'Landliner'. Road tax exempt due to age of vehicle. The vehicle has been unused for 6 years, stored outdoors on hardstanding. It is being sold as a restoration project requiring bodywork, mechanical and cosmetic work to bring up to a usable standard but would make a brilliant, classic motorhome once done up. The camper has been owned, used and enjoyed by my family for years but I no longer have the time to use it or look after it properly.
The vehicle is complete with original interior fittings present, though in need of cleaning and some work. Roof and windows are watertight and van is dry inside. Mains and 12v auxiliary power, hot and cold running water (from tank) are all fitted.
The camper has had a replacement engine: it is now fitted with a Ford 2.0 litre 'Pinto' petrol engine (as used in Ford Sierra, Capri and petrol Transit years 1970 - 2001). The engine is complete and turns over with a battery connected but does not start. A selection of spare parts will be included in the sale but no battery is fitted. Rear coachwork is aluminium skinned.
More photos of the vehicle will be available on request. If you require more details please ask.
The vehicle must be collected on a trailer or transporter within 10 days of the auction's end. The winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction to arrange payment. Paypal is preferred, cash on collection if necessary.
Thank you for reading and happy bidding.
