Photos described as “studio” or “promotional” are usually posed for and taken to be used as promotional materials to support the particular actor, actress or show. Action shots usually show typical action from the film, TV show or concert. Head shots and personal promotional photos are used to promote and display a performer and are usually what is obtained when writing for an autograph. Photos should be acid-free matted (to keep the photo from touching the glass) and framed with conservation clear glass for protection. Most photos are 8”x10” color or black and white (USA size) odd sizes will be noted in the description. Photos will be shipped in a special sleeve to protect the piece.
Matted Photos and Display Collages
Matted photos usually are standard sizes of 11”x14” or 12”x14” and may have an informational plaque attached. All odd size mats will be detailed in the description. Most items use acid free mats to a finished size as specified - when framing use only conservation glass to protect the signature from fading. Displays usually have a central theme and one or more photos and items related to the actor, movie, or TV show.
When an autograph includes additional words by the signer (those words could be a salutation like “For Joan my greatest fan…”) the piece is said to be Inscribed. Some feel this reduces the value of an item - others figure the additional words are in the person’s own hand and make it more personal and thus more valuable.

Who is I Remember Them©?
I Remember Them© is a source for both hard to find and unique autographs and memorabilia. A family run business serving the casual and avid collector. We began with three art galleries in South Florida specializing in custom framing and distinctive presentation of paper based art. As the Home entertainment center became the Home Theater room many of our clients asked for movie posters and related art work to decorate these rooms. To make commercially produced posters more interesting we began including in the framing an autographed photo of the star(s) of the film. This lead to requests for specific actors and films and thus I Remember Them© began.
The principles, David and Kathy Tibbetts, became members of the UACC and eventually earned Registered Dealer status (#251). We only offer items we have seen being signed, commercially available (contract signings), from other UACC Registered Dealers, collectors, or auctions. The UACC has a stringent set of rules all aimed at customer satisfaction and protection by offering the unlimited guarantee of authenticity of all autographs, props and memorabilia. We have been trained in the study of signatures and use various techniques, research, and equipment to further verify the authenticy of our offerings.
