I really like this camera because it is very compact but easy to operate. It has a telescopic lens which is very useful for scenic photographs. The quality of the photos is very high especially if used for static indoor photos. It is also extremely cheap in relation to how it performs, when compared to more complex cameras.

I bought this camera for a birthday present as it was perfect for a first camera. the only dissapointment is that I was not made aware that the card was not included, however it was still a great bargain
A great little Camera, I bought this for my son's birthday, He's 9, and I wanted a low cost good quality camera for him to use. Although I'm sure that many of you more experienced (and skilled) photographers, can find many things wrong with this camera, I think for a first tentative dip of your toes into the digital world of photography, you could do much worse. It has an optical zoom, a 5mp censor, and enough modes to keep the avarage snapper happy. My son loves it.I also got one for ny in-laws, as they wanted to start taking digital photos. I already own a Finepix 9500s, my wife an E900 (both 9mp) and this will be an exelant addition to the family. If you want a low cost (£36.00) digital camera, with viewfinder (I personally think this is a must as you are unable to see most LCD screens in bright sunlight. You can do a lot worse. It takes XD cards, I beleive up to 2GB, so you will be able to take more photos than you can shake a stick at. An excellent camera, but don't take my word for it, buy one.......Read full review
Having owned a Fuji FinePix F402 which failed after 4 years of excellent service and quite good quality pictures - even at A4 size I was at first reluctant to buy another Fuji digital camera - however I purchased a Fuji FinePix A500 which is at the budget end of the market - it has 5.1 megapixels a 3 x zoom lens and a 1.8 lcd screen which is handy for reviewing the shots you have taken - user friendly with no great problems encountered so far - What I don't like - there is no cradle for the camera to sit on as in the case of the F402 from which your photos downloaded to the PC - this also doubled as a battery charger - instead there is a USB lead which connects to your PC or USB hub with a small connector which marries up to the camera when downloading your photos to the PC - this I have found quite fiddly having large hands - it comes with 2 x AA size batteries which I have replaced with the rechargeable type - this should work out cheaper but I also had to buy a suitable battery charger - Overall I'm pleased with the results of the cameraRead full review
