I recently had a battery replacement for my smartphone because it hadn't been charging properly. I later found after the repair that the phone was still charging slowly, so I decided to update the charger from the original solid 3 pin plug version from 2012, to the HTC TCP900 design. So far, it's very good news - the HTC TCP900 USB Mains Charger is charging my phone more quickly and because of its compact design, with adjustable earth pin and revised usb cable connection point on the rear face of the plug, that the whole assembly is more functional and easier to use in tight spaces or on wall sockets that are low to the ground - avoiding usb cable flex and breakage (a problem that I had with the previous traditional solid 3 pin design). It really is very good.

We got this product because we thought it was original (which we are pretty convinced now that it's not) at the beginning it does charge a little faster than the ones we had before. Yet everytime you put this charger into a plug it will give you a clear high pitched noise until you have a device connected to it. I have read up online about it and some people said it wasn't bad most of the time I just continued using it. It was okay for about 4 weeks and then it just broke - the cable became lose at the end where you plug it into the phone and all of a sudden it starts slow charging our phones (this is the reason we bought this charger in the first place - our old chargers broke and only slow charged so we thought this one would do the job better) NOPE. I would say spend more money and get chargers from a shop where you can take it back to if it's not working properly and get a replacement there and then. Invest the money into a genuine (even though you can't really tell on the internet) charger.Read full review

Poor quality - plug makes a noise when the power is switched on. The wires have become exposed near the connection, almost to the point of falling off after 1 week of regular use. I'd have asked for a refund, however my cat has now bitten it on multiple occasions (after discovering that it was a really poor quality charger and prone to damage easily).

This is a brilliant charger and is great that you can make it smaller. It is good quality and comes as described. Highly reccomended.

Bought this to prevent my phone 'slow charging' as it claims to be genuine. After it arrived and I tested it I had to go out to the store to buy one that now works. Delivery was speedy though.
