THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CONDITION 1ST PATTERN OR SATEEN COTTON,M-51 US ARMY FISHTAIL PARKA, DATED 21st May 1951, with M-51 FRIEZE LINER IN SIZE MEDIUM. I AM A SIZE 44" CHEST AND THIS FITS ME GREAT AND WILL FIT MOST AVERAGE TO LARGE BUILD PEOPLE WITH A CHEST SIZE OF 42" UPTO 48" CHEST, AS THESE ARE BIG FITTING, THE LABELS HAVE FADED OVER TIME BUT ARE STILL JUST ABOUT READABLE.THERE ARE TWO VERY HARD TO SPOT PERIOD US ARMY REPAIRS MEASURING 20mm x 20mm, AT THE TOP OF THE RIGHT SLEEVE AND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT SLEEVE JUST ABOVE THE CUFF BUTTON, AND HAVE OBVIOUSLY BEEN DONE AT THE SAME TIME. ALL THE BUTTONS/ DRAW CORDS AND LEATHER STOPS ARE PRESENT. THE ZIP IS A HEAVY DUTY ALLOY TALON BRAND, WITH ITS ORIGINAL FABRIC PULL CORD STILL ATTACHED. THE ZIP IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND WORKS PERFECTLY EVERY TIME AND NO TEETH MISSING. ALL THE POPPERS ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION AND ARE STAMPED ON THE REVERSE UNITED CARR, ALL THE SEAMS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY SOME WEAR ON THE INSIDE OF CUFFS. THIS M-51 PARKA HAS THE SEWN IN INTEGRAL HOOD AND BUTTON DOWN SHOULDER EPAULLETES, IT EVEN HAS ITS ORIGINAL HANGING LOOP SEWN INTO THE COLLAR.    THE FRIEZE LINER IS ALSO SIZE MEDIUM AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, THE COTTON AND WOOL LOOPED LINING IS STILL A VERY BRIGHT CREAM COLOUR WITH NO WORN PATCHES OR SIGNS OF REPAIR, THE GREEN SILK LINING IS ALSO FAULTLESS WITH THE FADED DECOMMISSIONING  STAMP STILL PRESENT,THE ORIGINAL BLACK INK STAMPS ARE THERE BUT I CANT MAKE OUT THE WORDING. THE STAMPS IN THE HOOD STATES : MEDIUM, CHEST 36" UPTO 39.9", STOCK No 55-P-4982-20, the second ink stamp states: PARKA SHELL,M-1951, SKYLINE CLOTHING CORP, DATED 21 MAY 1951 SPEC MIL-P-11013, PATTERN DATE 12 MARCH 1951 , NYQMPA INSPECTOR, THIRD INK STAMP STATES  PARKA SHELL M-1951, and lists 9 care instructions. IN SUMMARY THIS IS A FANTASTIC, 100% GENUINE, VERY EARLY M-1951 SIZE MEDIUM FISHTAIL PARKA, COMPLETE WITH M-1951 FRIEZE PARKA LINER. THIS ITEM WILL BE DISPATCHED VIA PARCEL FORCE EXPRESS 48 , FULLY INSURED AND TRACKABLE. This parka is heavy, hence the postage cost which is beyond my control.
