Built-in front and rear lights - front dynamo with traditional large chromed lamp and spare bulb; battery rear light - plus large rear reflector
Sturdy built-in luggage rack and heavy duty prop stand
Wheel guards (coated textile), complete chain cover with chrome trim, large rubber mud flap to front wheel
Original 'Lepper' Dutch-made sprung saddle (very comfy ride)
I added a large chrome 'ding-dong' bell, and horn, which are included
The bike is in traditional gloss black, with gold lugwork highlighting and white rear mudguard end, plus lots of chrome and beautiful Gazelle detailing. It's a sturdy beast, and you will ride tall and proud; it's not light, but I completed a few long rides and some steep climbs on it with no problem.
Bought 5 years ago, with one owner from new, the bike was ridden semi-regularly til June 2010, but not used since then (stored inside a house) - I've taken it out on a couple of short runs this month to check all's ok and in good order ready to go.
The frame and paint are in excellent and rust-free condition, with only 1 or 2 very minor light surface scuffs which could easily be spray-varnished away if desired.
The rod brakes have been checked and adjusted following storage and work perfectly; I've also checked and adjusted the gears, and they respond exactly as you'd want.
The tyres have been checked over and pumped and are in excellent condition - very little wear to the treads, and holding air with no problem.
I had to do a minor repair to the gear shifter approx 6 months in (slight crack to the housing), but it's held with no problems ever since so shouldn't be a worry. There is also a small tear on one of the wheel guards, near where it clips to the mudguard (see pic) - barely noticeable, and hidden if you add a panier; doesn't affect function or the overall aesthetics.
The bike was £700+ bought new, but with the low starting price you could get a real bargain!
