This is the original ship's bell from the steel motorship "RIVERBANK" which was registered in Glasgow and built on the Tyne by Wm. Doxford, Sunderland in 1957 for the Bank Line Ltd. It was later sold on to the Guan Guan Propriety Shipping line in Singapore and re-named "Golden Season". That is a picture of the ship among the photos. This bell is in excellent condition and is loosely mounted on a specially made mahogany base. The bell is 9" high and about 12" mounted on its base. You will find plenty of "ship's bells" for sale but not so often the real McCoy as this undoubtedly is. By the way, if you are going to ring this, warn the neighours first. If anyone worked on this ship or on the building of it I would love to hear from you.
