Georgian Period Napoleonic Prisoner POW / Russian Cow Bone Box c.1800

This is a late 18th or very early 19th century cow boen veneered box. Probably either Napoleonic prisoner of war or Russian made.

It retains its original paper lining. 

CONDITION  Some losses to the bone on the exterior - see photos. The box is in its original unrestored condition commensurate with age & use.

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
