It was a bit of a disturbing film and one you probably shouldn’t watch with your parents, but I enjoyed it. It’s one I‘ll definitely watch again and I’d recommend it

i bought this product for myself. i bought it because the cover and summary on the back intrigued me and i enjoy watching variations of the werewolf myth. also the metaphoric behind the film was very interesting to watch progress. it was the usual werewolf type tale but with a modern twist.
Two 'weird' sisters (Ginger and Bridget), obsessed with death, especially suicide, are marginalised at school, and seem to like it that way. Neither has started menstruation (although they are 15 and 16) and their pushy mother is concerned and pesters them about their behaviour constantly. They have a close bond, stating that getting your period is getting 'the curse', (an arguable parallel with the werewolf 'curse' and the later stages of female puberty) and that one day they'll commit suicide together - "Together Forever", a tag line which is used throughout the two subsequent films. One night the two sisters are attacked by a werewolf, Ginger is bitten, and as you'd guessed begins to transform. The darkly funny twist includes that many of these changes are exactly the same as changes to girls at puberty, bleeding, cramps, muscle pains, growing hair 'in odd places' (funny scene with the school nurse on these 'symptoms'!), mood swings etc, etc. Bridget forms a friendship with Sam who accidentally ran over the original werewolf who bit Ginger (the male eye-candy, which makes the school bimbo jealous and Ginger uber protective) tries to cure Ginger before it’s too late, as Gingers behaviour and body changes frighteningly... A great horror showing the scarily similar changes or a human to a werewolf are mirrored by the changes in a girl at puberty, and also how a woman’s body (as well as a werewolves) are closely linked to the cycles of the moon. I loved it and recommend it! Despite the way it sounds, its not just a 'girly' horror either! Five Stars.Read full review
i love the story line, and how the girls are two glommy teenagers. the school life drama and how it is at home for them growing up in to women. this is an excellent werewolf film and just shows the feelings of not just changes in a young girl but there thoughts of the world and how difficult life can be. i have watched this film many times over and to me and many of my friends, its a film that can not bore you, no matter how many times you watched it.
