A very fine and impressive antique George IV English 18 carat gold snuff box; part of our silverware collection
This very fine antique 18ct gold snuff box has a rectangular form with rounded corners.
The snuff box is embellished to all sides, including the base, with fine textured zig-zag engine turned guilloche decoration*.
The shaped thumbpiece is ornamented with profuse chased floral decoration.
The hinged cover opens to reveal the plain hallmarked interior.
This fine snuff box is an exceptional gauge of gold, fine quality and in excellent condition in keeping with age.
Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the main compartment, and part hallmarks, as expected, struck to the interior of the cover are all clear.
Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this item.
6 troy ounces/187g
* Items, such as this snuff box, that were frequently handled, often had surfaces embellished with engine turned guilloche decoration to avoid finger prints detracting from the overall appearance of the piece.

Thank you very much for sending the pearl necklace: it arrived only a couple of days after purchase, beautifully wrapped and packaged, at 8.30am - so you have a first rate courier service!
Could I also say how pleasant and how helpful the girl I spoke to on the telephone was. Her enthusiasm for the necklace, and for the quality of your products, decided me when I was not quite sure this was the item I wanted. Cheerfulness, enthusiasm and courtesy are not often encountered in this kind of call. It was a real pleasure!
So congratulations on your staff!
Very best wishes

Dear Mr Campbell
Making purchases from half way round the world is always an interesting experience. You do the best you can and hope. I can say, with no rear of contradiction, that my dealings with AC Silver and Andrew Campbell is certainly worthy of Front Bench status.
The two George III bottle neck rings were of the first quality, and thoroughly described and generously photographed. The transaction itself was smooth and without flaw. Packing and shipping were without incident and arrival was exactly on time.
It was the 'poster child' for an ideal transaction.
