This is the genuine UK 1st edition hardback, published by Bloomsbury in 1999.

Also included with this book is an unsigned bookplate for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix issued by Bloomsbury on 21st June 2003.

 

The book is in fine allround condition. No inscriptions or marks of any kind. The dustjacket is without blemishes of any kind and is unclipped. It has been covered in a protective plastic sleeve since I acquired it. The actual book is faultless, no lean, very clean boards, the spine is clean and tight and unblemished from top to bottom, and all corners are sharp and pointy. Very clean pages. This is a beautiful copy, perfect for a collector of J K Rowling books.

This is a fine copy of a book that is extremely difficult to find now in this condition. This is the true 'second state' of the first edition, first printing. The first state refers to the earliest and original very small print run which contained a printing error on page 7 which was imediately identified and corrected by this second state issue. 

This is a smoke-free and child-free household. Dustwrappers are always protected by a plastic sleeve and books are always sent wrapped in bubblewrap and in a box. Please check my feedback.
