SRP £3,999.00SAVE £1,600.00 - ONLY £2,399.00With only light use, this HK Lucas MAX System is in excellent condition and offers superb value for money. It has only been used on a handful of occasions over a period of about 6 months. We are happy to include a full 12 month warranty on this product. A Pair of Speaker Stands are also included in this sale as shown. It does not come with covers, but these are available to purchase separately and would be recommended...
as due to the fact that it had been moved without covers, it did already have a couple of scratches - these have now been touched up with the correct HK paint, which is a perfect match.
too short for compromises? Do you want maximum sound paired with max
headroom? And do you want it in a compact system that you can transport
all on your own? Then look no further, because we have developed exactly
what youre seeking—L.U.C.A.S MAX.
As compact as the original L.U.C.A.S, but with audio quality and headroom that put many a “big” PA system to shame, L.U.C.A.S MAX pulls out all the stops when it comes to state-of-the-art appointments. Witness the professional neodymium speakers, 2,000 watts of digital power amp performance, and the peerless patent-applied-for DDO™ technology to boot.
Praise for the preceding L.U.C.A.S models went as far as to speak of a built-in audio engineer, but DDO™
takes that notion a step further. With its ability to achieve
latency-free compensation of speaker coloration and smooth adaptation to
human hearing, a stable, uniform sonic image is assured for every
application from subdued dinner accompaniment to cranked crowd favorites
to get the party roaring—no manual adjustment required!

1 SPEECH Voice/speech setup (announcements)
option is tuned specifically for speech applications. The subwoofers
level is reduced in order to minimize stage rumble, microphone handling
noise, and the popping of plosive speech sounds.
2 LIVE 1 For live applications
Live 1 setup delivers punchy, dynamic bass with fast transient
response. Speech and vocals are very prominent in the overall sound.
3 LIVE 2 For live applications
Live 2 setup delivers deeper bass at a slightly lower level. Speech and
vocals are not quite as prominent as with Live setup 1.
4 DJ 1 For playing music on CDs
The DJ1 setup is tuned specifically for playback, with strong deep bass, moderate mids, and plenty of high-end presence.
5 DJ 2 For playing music from CDs or MP3s

the course of the last twenty five years, the name HK AUDIO® has become
synonymous in Europe with live sound reinforcement systems of unrivaled
quality. Made in Germany, these systems are the product of a lifelong
passion and pursuit of a vision – the aspiration to deliver the perfect
(and brothers) Hans and Lothar Stamer began producing their own
loudspeaker cabinets in 1979 in a small shop in southwestern Germany.
While the production space may have been small, their aspirations were
not. Soon, the reputation of their products for craftsmanship and
performance spread, prompting them to expand operations time and time
again. Along the way, they served as Original Equipment Manufacturer to
some of the most revered international names in pro audio. Over time,
they developed and manufactured professional touring systems for larger
and larger venues, including audiences of 100,000 and more.
systems manufactured in their world-class facilities in St. Wendel,

one of the most distinguished names in professional sound reinforcement
ACTIVE SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY™
AUDIO systems are all-inclusive sound reinforcement solutions
comprising subwoofers, mid/high-range enclosures and integrated
electronics. Every system was developed from the ground up for a
specific application and perfected for that purpose. Though all
aspects of system design are important, none is as crucial as selecting
and matching components. The sonic magic to which we aspire requires
components that do more than merely function together – they must act in
concert, harmonising to create systems greater than the sum of
their parts. These are tall orders, indeed. To fill them all, HK
AUDIO engineers developed many new features and technologies. These
features are then handpicked and fine-tuned to suit each system.
And by gearing every system to satisfy the requirements of specific
sonic scenarios, we ensure that it delivers the best possible results
for its intended application.
Digital Dynamics Optimization™
Active Compensation of Dynamic Distortion
Every speaker has a specific tonal character. Like an instrument, a
speakers timbre is not static—it varies as volume levels vary. A speaker
also generates distortion, partial oscillations and resonances. In a
nutshell, its response is constantly changing. And in a system
comprising several speakers, these undesirable effects can be
multiplied. This is where the new patent-applied-for DDO™ (Digital
Dynamics Optimization) technology comes into play. The resulting sound
is strikingly clear and natural. Furthermore, it is stable and easily
controlled from a whisper to a roar.
for the bass power amp
AUDIO DynaClip™ technology is a dynamic limiter developed specifically
to enhance low-end performance. The DynaClip™ Limiter
compensates for the subwoofers slower initial transient
response, audibly improving pulse behaviour. This makes the most
of low-frequency energy, and enhanced efficiency translates to
for the mid/high-range
frequencies are a breed apart from low-end frequencies, and they
require a different type of signal processing. To this end, we use a
technology originally developed for high-end recording. Its
soft attack ensures smoother, more musical limiting that sounds
inconspicuous, even pleasant. The original signal envelope
remains largely intact, yielding a more dynamic and natural-sounding
Optimized for every frequency range
limiters are synchronised to process all key frequency ranges. This
achieves balanced dynamic response and punchy projection for highly
musical sound across the entire frequency spectrum.
Optimized Frequency Response Technology
unprecedented technology, OFR™ delivers commanding yet well-balanced
sound at every level. It compensates for speaker components?? non-linear
frequency response and adapts the system??s sound to human auditory
Protection against Low-Frequency rumble
integrated subsonic filter suppresses accidental and unintentional
signals such as footfalls, wind, or the sound of a hand accidentally
brushing a microphone. It cuts these frequencies drastically, freeing
energy to better render bass impulses. Goodbye squashed dynamics and
artificial sound, hello authenticity and natural sounding high/mid range
Enhanced Efficiency and Dynamics
an efficiency rating topping the 90% mark, digital power amps are
smaller, lighter, and more compact than conventional amps. The
reduced thermal load on components clearly enhances reliability. The
slew rate is far faster and the attenuation factor is higher, resulting
in perceptibily more responsive and accurate performance.
Easy Setup and Handling
Less Pre-Gig Stress
HK AUDIO? Active Systems are designed as a cohesive unit consisting
of perfectly matched components. Painstaking effort is invested to
ensure easy transportion and swift set up. Handling and EQing couldn??t
be easier, with no complicated and time-consuming tweaking challenges to
DuoTilt™, MicroTilt™& MonoTilt
Making the Most of Sonic Energy
MicroTilt and MonoTilt pole mounts allow sound energy to be
utilised far more efficiently. The DuoTilt offers angles of 7.5 and
15, and MicroTilt and MonoTilt 10, to better aim the
mid/high-range cabinets directly at the audience. Troublesome
ceiling reflections are minimised; the soundscape is clearer,
tighter and more focused.
