Quite sturdy and practical light weight tripod.it is certainly better than my previous one and is small and light enough to carry.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
Its light weight, easy to erect and with my kit bag hung underneath its fairly in most windy conditions. Its now an essensial
It didn't even last for one photo-shoot. It broke apart from the inside of one of the legs. Very disappointing in particular as it looked so promising. It ended up in the bin.
Brilliant tripod. Slightly larger than most compact tripods but not too bulky. Very light considering that it is of full metal construction. The base plate for your camera clicks into place so fast, and the lock to prevent the plate being removed from the ball head is an added piece of mind, knowing its not just going to flick open. The ball head swivel is fantastic and very quick to adjust. Using the tripod indoors, the feet screw outwards leaving a rubber finish. When outdoors, screwing the feet close produces a small spike to help grip (on grass, or if indoors with a thick carpet) The bubble level is slightly too small but easy enough to see. I'm 6ft 2 and less than fully extended is more than enough. There will be no need to use the full height unless your shooting 6ft5 + subjects, or just want to get a steady unusual frame above your subjects. All 3 legs have a catch at the top so you can open them fully to get your macro shots. Also the top mount can be unscrewed and connected to the bottom part in-between the 3 legs for unusual shots. Finally the travel bag is decent quality. Very sturdy, with an extra bit of room in-case you don't want to fully collapse the top head all the way down. If I ever needed another tripod again of this standard, without a doubt I would purchase the same one again. Quality is brilliant, and if for any reason it broke, it'd be because I had purposely broke it or went out of my way to abuse it. For the price, I doubt you will find anything else that offers everything this does. If its your first tripod and your looking for an all rounder then its perfect, or for the pros as a travel tripod. If your upgrading from a similar type to a full size studio tripod then this may not be the one for you. Hope this review has helped.Read full review
I was for the tripod with 2 main conditions: 1. Not to be to small, as most of traveler/pocket tripods are: with 1 meter high while extended and too light, so they can't perform shooting outdoors even with weak wind. 2. In second hand, not to be very big and heavy, as most of highly professionals tripods are, with 5 kg of weight you have to carry on you, since i don't want to think think 3 times if i really need to take it with me today or not. This tripod is just a great solution. It performs very good outdoors, even with strong wind - the hook allow you to connect additional weight to stabilize. Also, overall the functionality is great - ball is smooth, and it's possible to connect camera between the legs for vertical shooting. Value for money is just amazing. Totally recommend.
