This preowned Hofner New President Archtop Jazz Electric Guitar in Natural with Hardcase is in great condition. Previous owner has hardly used it and then was forced by circumstances to part with it. So it’s a bargain! Serial No. F06202 The Hofner bespoke case is in great condition with just a few minor marks. This Hofner New President Archtop Jazz Electric Guitar in Natural with Hardcase is strung with flat wound strings, of course. The New President archtop continues in that tradition, featuring a solid carved top in selected solid German spruce and an arched back in flamed maple giving deep tones and plenty of sustain. The President guitar began in early 1950s, aimed at the professional wanting a robust guitar with great tone. Common to all Hofner jazz guitars is the neck to body joint at the 16th fret, which ensures easy access to the upper end of the fretboard. Thanks to the superb quality of wood chosen, this guitar sounds fantastic both through an amp and acoustically. Founded in 1864, Hofner's comprehensive range of guitars draws on the firms long-standing success making precision string instruments for musicians. The Beatles' Sir Paul McCartney played a Hofner Violin Bass, and the company's superb attention to detail and stylish design has continued to inspire both rock and jazz musicians to this day. Despite the numerous changes over 125 years the company is still strongly a family firm with strong values for customers, and for high quality, musical instruments.
