Lovely, quiet hillside apartment, built in the 'white village' style of Andalucia, little streets wind round white painted buildings, beautiful garden areas and lagoon style swimming pools. The location here is perfect, for a quiet relaxing holiday; the atmosphere is of a gentle country setting. The views from the terrace are breath taking with mountain scenery behind you and sea views in front, watch the sunset over the sea with a glass of wine. After which a short drive will take you to the local bars and restaurants in Duquesa or the glamorous night life of Puerto Banus is a little further on. If you are looking for a more active holiday, however, there is plenty to see and do, sherry tasting in Jerez, day trip to Morocco, or enjoy one of the many fiestas in the area in summer, they are said to be the liveliest in Spain. Or if your hobby is golf, bring your clubs, this is Costa del Golf.
There are steps up to the apartment so may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
The Sun catches the terrace almost all day, there is comfortable, outdoor furniture provided for dinning and sun bathing. The area very much resembles a traditional white Andalucian village with its little streets and pretty surround of bright flowers and green areas. The effect is beautifully finished with the lagoon style swimming pools, which have the added bonus of being very safe. It is a lovely area to walk around in the evening.
A 10 minute walk / 2 mins drive will take you to 'El Castillo', a beautiful sandy, blue fFlag beach, there is a Chiriquito to provide a cool refreshing drink, or snack. One is spoilt for choice along this lovely, long stretch of coast it has many an access to its beaches, never crowded. Parking is easy, peace and tranquillity easier, with so much choice, you can always find a quiet spot. There are Water sports and pedaloes for the young; bars and suntans for the not so young.
This is the 'Costa del Golf ', and you have a choice of top class golf courses. La Duquesa Golf Course is 3-4 minutes drive away, 20 minutes on to Marbella will bring you to La Quinta, Aloha and Los Naranjos. In the other direction, towards Gibraltar, is Valderama which is less than a 10 minute drive, and is the home of the Volvo Masters again this October. San Roque and Alcadesia Links Golf course are just a few minutes further.
How to get there
Airports - Malaga aAirport is 1 hours drive and Gibraltar airport, which has good connections from Luton Airport, is about 25 minutes. Jerez is about 90 minutes and has good connections from Stanstead airport.
Puerto de la Duquesa is 2-3 mins in car, 15 mins to walk and is ideal for a night out, there are lots of bars and restaurants in the pretty marina. Sabinillas is a large village, 5 mins by car and has a chemist, banks, supermarkets and a Sunday morning market. Estapona is a main town and is 15 mins by car. Marbella and Puerto Banus are 25 mins by car and are a wonderful day/nightout. Gibraltar is 25 mins in the opposite direction. Tarifa is 45 mins by car.
Estapona is good for shopping and has a very good hypermarket, the Puerto Deportivo is a more sedate version of Marbella's and has a choice of good bars and restaurants. Also, the Fiestas y Feria, held here during the first week of July is one of the best and busiest. Marbella and Puerto Banus, must also be visited, the huge shopping centre 'La Canada' on the outskirts of Marbella, for retail therapy, Puerto Banus for its Bars, Restaurants and designer shops. The Saturday morning market, held in the bull ring in Marbella is where everyone goes, great for a bargain and great fun.
Rhonda is a beautiful white village with a picturesque gorge, it is about an hours drive through the mountains from Marbella, the views and scenery are breathtaking, as is the car journey! The old white village of Mijas adjacent to Marbella is also very pretty, also needs visiting, and also busy in Summer.
Gibralta is a fascinating place of historical significance, a guided tour here is recommended if you want to visit the caves and learn of its important role in the 2nd World War. Gibraltar is also very good for all your duty frees and you will save on the airport prices, but, the limit is only 200 cigs and 1 bottle of spirits per person, so don't get caught out. Ferries go from Tarifa across to Morocco, though an organised trip is advisable here as you will gain more but with less hassle.

A security deposit of £125 required, to cover any damages. All being well after the apartment has been checked and the keys have been returned, the deposit will be sent back to you.
