Welcome to my auction,
What you see here is a very well looked after, 31 year old, in 99% original condition semi-automatic bike which can be ridden with an automatic licence. If you are looking at this page you must know what this bike is all about. So there is no reason for me to describe this over engineered, made to last bike.
Let's start with the good bits;
-Breaded brake hose upgrade.
-Brake caliper overhauled.
-O ring chain and sprocket kit fitted 600 miles ago. (adjusted 100 miles ago)
-No rust under the seat unlike others.
-No rust inside the fuel tank.
-Original mileage. Mots to back this up. Has been off the road for about 10 years but professionally restored.
-New exhaust seals and bolts. (no leaks at all)
-No smoke coming out from the exhausts. Sometimes a little blue smoke but never seen white smoke. So, good pistons.
-Flew through the MOT. Everything works including the side stand cut out switch.
-No oil leaks. but some small chippings on the chrome and a very little paint come off the tank. (see pics)
-Electrics regulary sprayed with WD-40 to avoid corrosion.
-The only non-original bit is one mirror which is hard to notice.
-Comes with the original workshop manual. Lots of documents, mot and history.
-Still returns 55mpg. Tops out at 90mph.
Now the bad bits;
Only one to be honest. So I will explain it in detail.
Last month changed the oil. Clutch started to slip after 30 miles or so. It may have nothing to do with the oil change. Maybe just a spring needs to be changed.
As a result bike can not go past 50mph. The faulty part is definitely the clutch as you can clearly hear it disengaging with a combined power loss.
I don't really have time to fix this as I am working like dogs for the last couple of months and I already have another bike to commute on.
This will be a proper bargain for someone who has time to fix the clutch. Entire clutch kit is £45 at david silver online shop. (cb 400 hawk is the bike's model if you want to check it for yourself) Labor shouldn't be more than half an hour.
Also the battery drained as it is sitting there for the last 5 weeks or so. But kicks well.
You can ride the bike away but it will feel like a Honda Cub in terms of power. Also it might cut the power in neutral. If you are not confident and not far away from High Barnet I can take you as a pillion to where you live on a Sunday.
I've written down everything I know about the bike. There is no bull shooting in this listing.
Buyer to collect within a week. Bike is located in High Barnet. North London or South Hertfordshire if you like.
Cash on collection only.
Please view the bike before buying. If you win the auction I won't let you to check the bike for 2 hours before handing the money.
Every single bike I've sold on ebay made the new keepers more than happy. Nothing to worry about.
You can call Barish on 07529232378 to arrange a viewing.
All the Best.
