Honda CBR900RR Fireblade Foxeye, Appreciating Classic.

1997 registered HONDA CBR900RR Fireblade.

This is a really nice, very original example of a highly desirable and well looked after motorcycle. Rides & runs superbly. Starts on the button with no untoward noises or rattles. Transmission works perfectly. Suspension plush & compliant. These ground breaking and sought after bikes are really starting to go up in value now.

1996 model, first registered June 1997, UK bike not an import and therefore not restricted & fitted with MPH clocks. The previous owner had it for 6 years & really looked after it. Overall in very good condition, and apart from a few areas listed below the bike has not been modified so an ideal base to put completely back to standard. Comes with the original two key sets, riders handbook and tool kit.

Good chain, sprockets & brake pads all round. Fresh brake fluid and recent oil & filter change. 

Taxed until November 2012, MOT has until late June 2012 but I will get a full years MOT on the bike if it meets reserve.  

I will also include the offensively loud stubby carbon fibre exhaust can if the bike meets reserve.

Poor points...

• Two panels could do with attention if you want pristine. The right mid fairing panel has a lug missing and the left seat panel has a small crack (see pictures). Nothing major, still securely fastened & easily repaired/replaced.
• Small, fingernail sized, dent in front of tank.
• Standard exhaust has been painted black & has a few scrapes
• There is a little bit of furring on some alloy parts & slight corrosion on the shock spring, nothing an evening with a wire brush & buffer can't sort! 
• A few small scratches & scuffs, but it is a 16 year old bike! 

V5 present, along with a full MOT history to verify mileage and a handful of service/parts receipts. 

The bike is clear from finance, and not recorded on the HPI register. You are, of course, welcome to carry out your own checks.

Reluctant sale, I've just bought another Aprilia and simply do not have the garage space for all my bikes. I won't leave any of them outside!

UPDATE 17/07/12, had a lot of interest in the bike, 98 watchers and loads of enquiries! I desperately need the space in the garage, so the first firm offer of £1500 buys the bike!! Within ebay rules of course ;)
