Hi and thanks for looking at my VTR. I've owned the bike for two years, done 5000 or so miles and I am the third owner.
It has had 2 other owners, has a certificate for bhp restriction, plus the carb restrictors (which I took off once I had bought it) and a set of scorpion titanium cans which are matched to the carb set-up. I also have a set of original cans to go with it.
When I bought it, I joined VTR1000,org, I would advise you to join if buy the bike. I learned about all the faults ( there are 3 or 4) and went about sorting them out.
The first one is the cam chain tensioner, don't worry because mine is done - and I did it over 18 months ago using the manual cam tensioners.
Second is the suspension, mine has the rear spacer fitted to right 4 mm setting and I have recently (for the France trip) bought Roger Driftfield rebuilt forks, with new springs and spacers - wow what a difference that makes. These are exactly 1500 miles old.
The other two faults are rectifier ( which I haven't changed) and a small tank, which I did use a 19l tank off a later model - this will be sold separately. I have no need to change the rectifier!
Mods - It has a k & n airflter, Titanum cans (has standards on at the present), dg8 gear indicator, 4 mm spacers on rear shock, Roger Driftfield (revolution racing - road and track use) front forks, mirror spacers (when you are riding it is difficult see without), braided brake lines, organic pads front (better feel), rentec rear grab rail, colour coded rear wheel hugger, rebound adjusters, black double bubble screen and manual front cam chain tensioner.
I will need to mot it in July so if it makes the reserve I will MOT the bike. Tyres are nearly new having done only 2000 miles, plenty of tread left - they are Bridgstone BT 023's. It has a full dealer service history and I changed the filter and oil (motul 7100 for the recent trip).
There are a couple of minor marks comensurate with age, one slight 2mm mark near the mirror on the fairing, small marks on the swing arm from my rear wheel bike stand and a 1mm mark by the right had mirror mounting. The wheel paint is good and both are balanced.
It is coming up to its next service, which will mean plugs as well as oil.
The only bad point is it probably does need a chain soon. I can always put chain and sprokets on should the buyer wish to have this done.
Its a great bike, never been dropped in my ownership, is full of character, great colour and NOT bad on fuel as some suggest. I have just ranged 43 - 46 Mpg with the standard cans on!
Usual stuff, I will not post abroad, I do require full payment for test a ride, and would like a deposit paid once the bike is sold. If paying with paypal please add 5% to cover paypal fees to end price.
All in all good alrounder with the problem areas fixed, low millage, good dealer history, plenty of character and little to do to drive away just done 1500 miles and hasn't missed a beat. Grab a summer bargain!
Dirty so will add more pics when it has been washed.
Please contact through ebay for more details.
Thanks for looking.

Forgot to add it also has a taper bearing on the front head stock, which I did last year because the ball bearings had seen better days.
