The ZX-SERVO16U is capable of controlling up to 16 PWM servos, and may be networked together so that two boards can control 32 servos using a single I/O line.
The two onboard connectors - USB and TTL serial - let you connect the board to the computer to control the servos directly or instead, connect it to any other device that has a UART at TTL level to expand its I/O capacity.

The use of a serial protocol means you can read and set servo position by sending and receiving simple commands packets to/form the board.
The built-in ramping feature takes care of moving the servos at 63 possible different speeds without any additional need for procesisng from the host: just send a packet to to set the position and the speed and the board takes care of everything.

Additionally the board comes with PC Software to control the servos in real time. The software can work in "Immediate Mode" or "Animation" letting you orquestrate multi-servo movements in the form of fluid sequences of movements.

Operating Mode 1: Connect the board to the computer USB port and control the servos directly from the computer or create animations using the included software or the Serial Procotol. It is ideal for quick prototyping projects or projects where you need to use the processing power of the PC and then relay the control commands to the servos.

Operating Mode 2: Connect the board to another microcontroller using the UART TTL Serial Port and control the up to 32 servos by sending packets over the the serial line. The board is a simple and effective way to extend the IO of any microprocessor.

 
Features

• Runtime Selectable Baud rate. 2400 to 38k4 Baud.
• 16 Servos. All servos driven simultaneously all of the time.
• 180 degrees of rotation.
• Servo Ramping. 63 ramp rates (0.75 - 60 seconds) allows the user to set the speed of each servo on a per-move basis. You may choose one of 63 ramp rates for each servo.
• Speed range for 0 to 180 degrees of rotation is 0.75 second to 60 seconds.
• Position Reporting. User may request position of an individual servo at any time.
• Network Ready. Two modules may be linked together to drive 32 servos at the same time. It is possible to network two ZX-SERVO16 boards together to control up to 32 servos.
  Simply use a second 3-Conductor cable to daisy chain two ZX-SERVO16U boards together as shown in the documentation.
• Enhanced Resolution. Use of 16-bit PWM timers enables 0 to 180 degree servo rotation at 2 microseconds per step.
• Serial Command Format. ZX-SERVO16U supports several commands that are sent to it via serial protocol.
  The voltage swing of this serial line is 0 to 5 VDC (TTL level). Each serial command must be preceded with an exclamation point, "!", and the pair of letters, "SC".

In accordance with the UK Distance Selling Regulations, if you experience any problems with the items received or in the unlikely event that any kit parts are missing or damaged, we will replace the items or you may return the goods and receive a full refund. Buyer will assume costs for returned shipping.

Items are shipped from our UK warehouse therefore there are no risk of customs import duties and taxes in EU.
