BUYER COMMENTS / FEEDBACK......
Top notch IR conversion, great comunication, very good e-bayer - thanks
In RAW however it is better to take the photo normally so it is sort of pink and sort it out in Photoshop. Plenty of advice on line on what to do. RAW is like having the original negative so much much more you can do with it. I have set the ASA to 50 and focus to landscape then I use it in manual but that is advanced and I am going to play with other settings.
It may be nice to point buyers to a web site or two that goes into IR photography as well as where to get the 5400 manual.
With the filter you installed you get a little colour info so can do colour IR and play with the RGB in photoshop for some stunning affects so that is the most popular filter to fit. If users want to go up to 800 or 1000nm they can put additional filters on the front and still get plenty of "light" to the chip as the 5400 chip is particulary good at recording IR as is the Canon G9. Most of the advice I can find appears to say stay away from converted DSLRs as life becomes very complicated. The camera focus has to be altered to match the lens you intend to use and some of the AF sensors are protected from IR by a different filter so will not give a correct focus unless that is dealt with. All depends on the model and make of camera being converted. The very specilised companies doing RF conversions will do it but the conversion can cost over £300 on a camera you provide.
I have taken a few test shots with the camera. Loving it! I had been

Thanks for the camera. I am really pleased with it. I have been taking IR photos both BW and colour for over thirty years. For the last ten I have been using Hoya and Sony IR filters on mostly Fuji and Olympus compacts and bridge cameras as I found these two brands gave me the best results.
Excellent condition of the camera, superb IR performance, very detailed pics
