Terms and conditions
In this agreement unless the context otherwise requires:
The 'Buyer' shall mean the consumer, person or business seeking to purchase goods from the Company.
'Condition' means the standard terms and conditions of sale set out below, including any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by us;
The 'Company' shall mean 'Bathrooms Direct.com Limited'.
The 'Website' shall mean the pages published on the worldwide web at the URL's www.bath1959.com; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/richmond.bathroomsdirect ,www.bathroomsdirect.com or any of its sub-folders or sub domains.
The 'Contract' shall mean any contract for goods or services made between the company and the buyer.
The 'Goods' shall mean any product, things, or articles to be sold by the Company.
The 'Services' shall mean any services provided by the company to the buyer (whether the buyer shall purchase the goods or not).
We mean Bathrooms Direct which is the trading name of Bathrooms Direct.com Limited, registered in England No. 6357924. VAT no. 947551983.
You' & 'Buyer' means the customer seeking to purchase the goods from us and 'your' shall be construed accordingly;
A 'Working day' is a reference to any day other than Saturday or Sunday, which is not a bank or public holiday;
A clause, paragraph or section is a reference to a clause of this agreement.
2. Descriptions, prices and product information

Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown for items are correct. Prices may however go out of date. If, by mistake, we have under priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the item to you. In those circumstances, we will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether or not you wish to order the item at that price. If you decide not to order the item, we will give you a full refund on any amount already paid for that item in accordance with our refund policy in section 7 below.
The price of an item does not include the delivery charge, which will depend on the delivery method you choose. The rate applicable for the delivery charge will be calculated at the date you place your order. For more information on delivery arrangements see our delivery information below
All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated.
If you order from BathroomsDirect.com or Bath1959.com or in-store you will be told if the item is in stock. If for any other reason beyond our reasonable control we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item. We operate a bulk purchase policy. In the wider interests of all our customers, purchases may be restricted in accordance with the terms and conditions of our promotions, the terms of which will be clarified for each promotion.
3. Payment and acceptance
If you buy an item on the phone, in-store or online you will be charged for an item at the time you place your order. Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually despatch an item to you, at which point a contract will be made between us. At any point up until then we may decline to supply an item to you.
If we decline to supply an item to you and you have already paid for it, we will give you a full refund of any amount already paid for that item in accordance with our refund policy in section 7 below.
Where items are despatched separately, our acceptance of the order in respect of each item takes place when that item is despatched.
The Company reserves the right, after reasonable notification to the buyer, to make changes in the specification of the Goods which to conform with any applicable safety or other statutory or regulatory requirements or, where the Goods are to be supplied to the Company's specification, which do not materially affect their quality, visual appeal or performance in any way
You can pay by cash (in-store only), MasterCard or Visa credit card, Maestro, Solo or Delta debit card, PayPal, Googlepay and Cheques. Cheques however must be cleared, prior to delivery. We unfortunately cannot accept any other type of card, e.g. Visa Electron, American Express
- Product Warranty is controlled by the manufacturer and should be stated in the item description, if it is not then please do not hesitate to ask.
- If an item arrives damaged we would need to be made aware of this in a reasonable amount of time which we set at 24 hours from point of receipt.
- This is due to the fragile nature of the goods supplied. If this is the case we would like you to contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org with images showing the damage and we will assist you from there.
- If you are unhappy with a product as you believe that it is "not as described", please forward images of any product discrepancy. We will then open a return for the item and advise you accordingly in how we will collect the item(s) in question. On return of the items to our warehouse we will investigate and should the issue be deemed correct we will offer a full refund or opportunity to exchange for another item to the same value.
- If we fail to comply with terms and conditions, we shall only be liable to you for the purchase price of the Products.
- We will not be liable for losses that result from our failure to comply with these terms and conditions that fall into the following categories: (a) loss of income or revenue; (b) loss of business; (c) loss of profits; (d) loss of anticipated savings; (e) loss of data; or (f) waste of management or office time.
Cancellations Prior to goods delivery
You have the right to cancel your order for any item
purchased from us unless these are bespoke items or specially ordered for you.

Cancellations after Goods have been delivered to you
If you have changed your mind. Cancellations must be made in
writing, quoting your order number, within 7 working days of the day after you
receive the goods to email@example.com unless these are bespoke items or specially
ordered for you. Where the goods are bespoke items or ordered especially for you,
the goods cannot be cancelled or specification altered before or after it has
been delivered. These goods will be clearly marked as (special order) on your
quotation and order confirmation
If you have a faulty item (fault that was not apparent when
delivered). If the item you received has
a fault that was not apparent on delivery and prior to fitting, please email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your order number, your name and
address, details of the product and the description of the fault with pictures,
and whether you require a refund, or a replacement. We will then advise on how
to proceed with the return. You have 7 days from receipt of the faulty item to
return it to us. In which case the goods
will be examined, and a refund or replacement will be issued. In some cases we
will reserve the right to supply a replacement part where appropriate or we may
simply repair the faulty item and return the fixed item to you.
If the item you received has a fault that should have been
apparent on delivery, such as a chip in a bath and prior to fitting. We regret
we will not accept these items. We ask all our clients to inspect goods within
24 hours of receipt and notify us immediately of obvious faults .We may however
be able to assist with advice or supply a replacement part or materials at your
If you have received
the wrong item (and it has not been fitted). If the item you received is not
what you originally ordered as shown on your order confirmation, please email
or email@example.com with your order number, your name and
address, details of the product and the reason for return, and whether you
require a refund or a replacement.
If you have received
the wrong item (and it has been fitted/installed). If the item you received is
not what you originally ordered, but has been fitted, we regret we cannot take
the item back as we ask all clients to inspect their goods on receiving.
For Goods Cancelled with the statutory 7 day period and that
are unused and unfitted with its original packaging. And that we have delivered to you and are not bespoke we can collect the goods
on your account and refund you the difference between what you have paid
including your carriage less the return cost.
You may return the goods in
person to our warehouse Mon-Friday that has been delivered the return carriage
cost will be for your account
Your statutory rights are not affected by the above,

We require a day
contact telephone number to efficiently arrange your delivery.
Bathroomsdirect delivers to Mainland UK, Wales and Scotland as well as deliveries to Northern
and Southern Ireland* (subject to quotation) A contact number must be provided
so that our delivery company can contact you to arrange a delivery date with
you. You will only ever pay one delivery charge. For smaller items such as taps, accessories, shower heads, shower
valves, wastes and bottle traps you pay
£10 whether you choose one or one hundred subject to exclusions below. For medium sized items
such as small basins, pedestals, cisterns, standard towel
rails, small furniture items, bathroom cabinets, mirrors and urinals delivery is £30.
Whether you order one or one hundred medium items you will only ever be charged
£30 subject to exclusions. For large items such as Toilets, bidet, furniture and larger basins, shower enclosures, suites and
baths the delivery charge is £50.
There is a
single combined delivery charge per
order depending on the products ordered and your post code location. And you
will only ever be charged one amount and at the rate for the largest item
so if you order a tap and a radiator you will only be charged the rate for
delivery of the radiator £30 We feel this is the best way to offer all
customers the best value for money as we do not hide delivery charges within
the price of our products. Deliveries
are made Monday to Friday. We aim to deliver all orders that only contain small
products within 3-7 working days anywhere to the mainland UK from receipt of
payment. For deliveries inside the London M25 we will contact you to arrange a
suitable time. For deliveries outside of the M25 our courier company will
contact you to arrange a delivery date with you once your goods have left our
For PayPal payments,
delivery can only be made to a confirmed PayPal address. If you would like
items delivered to an address other than your confirmed address, please contact
us to arrange payment via an alternative method, such as credit/debit card,
cheque or bank transfer. Where possible, please provide us with a mobile number
so that we can update your order status. Your items will be delivered on a
pallet to a ground floor location outside of your property. Our delivery
drivers are not insured to take items inside your property so it is recommended
that you have at least 2 able bodied people on hand to receive the delivery and
take the goods inside. Your order must be signed for.
Finally please check
your order confirmation documents carefully and ensure that the style, colour
and quantity of the items stated match what you’ve ordered. If the details are
incorrect, please contact services team (0208 6190131) as soon as possible.
Unfortunately we do
not deliver to Northern and Southern Ireland except by special arrangement and
quotation or to any islands off the mainland UK. There are also some
restrictions in our delivery service to the extremities of Scotland. Please
contact us before placing any orders if you live in postcode areas DG, KA, PA,
KW and IV.
Delivery dates for
you are always provisional. It is very important that even when you do have a
confirmed delivery date that you do not pre-book contractors, or start any
preparatory work until you have received your goods, and check that they are
correct as ordered and damage free.
If you decide you
would like to pick up your goods from our warehouse You can do so
5 Days per week Monday – Friday between 09H00 – 16H00. We simply ask that you email or phone us 24
Hours in advance to let us know that you are coming, bring along your original
PayPal receipt and a form of photographic identity that matches the PayPal
account holder. Alternatively if you simply want to view the items or want
to speak face to face we have our EBay Store open Mon- Friday 9H00-16H00 and by
appointment on Saturdays 09H00 – 12H00

Ordered in goods
have to be paid for in advance of collection.
Stock goods can be paid for on collection. Your statutory rights
are not affected by the above, detailed terms and conditions can be viewed on

We accept payment by: Paypal, Credit or Debit Card. All payments are processed
via our online eBay checkout system. All prices shown include VAT. Paypal payments are to be made to firstname.lastname@example.org
